HARRY REDKNAPP reckons he will be able to flog Kanu for £10million if he continues scoring at his current rate!
PortsmouthÂ’s veteran 30-year-old striker leads the race for the Golden Boot after scoring seven goals in his first 10 Premiership games for the club.
And wheeler-dealer Redknapp predicts his free summer signing from West Brom could soon become the hottest property in football.
He said: “Kanu’s been fantastic and if he keeps scoring like this he’ll end up with about 26 goals.
“That would be some performance from someone we got for nothing — if he keeps it up I’ll end up selling him for about 10 million quid.
“A lot of people have been surprised by him. In training he’s beaten three defenders and hit one into the top corner from 25 yards.
“He’s always capable of a bit of magic like that.”
Redknapp warns his team will be going for victory against leaders Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow, despite injury worries.
Redknapp added: “We’ll have a go at them and really enjoy ourselves.”
And nobody will be trying harder than midfielder Sean Davis, who has an extra reason for wanting to topple United.
The Clapham-born ball-winner, 27, said: “I’m a Chelsea fan. I want to win for Portsmouth’s sake but also to help Chelsea.
“If I can help them by taking points off United I’ll be delighted.”
