West Ham United are set to sell their Argentine flops Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano in January.
The People says the Hammers will offload the pair after chairman Terence Brown chose to pull out of takeover talks with Kia Joorabchian.
The arrival of Tevez and Mascherano has had a disastrous effect on results and team morale. The Hammers have lost their last five games and have not scored while striker Tevez has been on the field.
The unrest cast doubts over manager Alan Pardew's future but he does not want to leave - and the board do not want to lose one of the game's brightest young bosses.
Pardew is confident he can restore the club's fortunes.
And that will mean letting the Argentine pair leave in the transfer window, with forward Tevez wanted by Spanish club Valencia and midfielder Mascherano a target for Juventus in Italy.
Both have struggled for form since signing from Brazilian club Corinthians on deadline day.

West Ham United chairman Terence Brown will pull the plug on prospective takeover talks with Kia Joorabchian.
The People says Brown has lost patience with Joorabchian's attempts to raise the ?75million to complete the deal - and wants to end the uncertainty that has rocked the club and team.
The board last week persuaded Brown to give the Iranian businessman a little more time to raise the necessary funds.
But Joorabchian has been unable to find backers for the takeover - and any potential buyers will be told to go away until the end of the season.
Joorabchian originally approached West Ham in a bid simply to place Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano in the Premiership - he owns the players' contracts.
But talk of a possible bid was leaked to the takeover panel and the affair became public before Joorabchian had a chance to get backers in place.

Juventus are hoping to end Javier Mascherano's West Ham nightmare - after Didier Deschamps hinted he missed out on signing him in the summer.
The Argentine World Cup star joined the Hammers from Brazil's Corinthians in a shock August move alongside compatriot Carlos Tevez. But since then Alan Pardew's men have lost five consecutive games, and failed to score for more than eight hours.
Now the Turin club, who tried to sign the midfielder despite being demoted this summer, will try for him once more as they bid for an instant Serie A return.
Juve coach Deschamps said: "We were looking to sign a midfielder during the summer. But we did not get him, as he was in a delicate situation. The player in question now plays in England."

firstly, my question after reading all the posts, how did dragon and tiger refers to ballack and Shev?? is that a joke of something? In that case, what Is Mourniho and Lampard refers to? or Even Robben or Cech?
I think it is better to get all these animals in line cause it is causing so much confusion in this forum.
Now, for Tevez and Mascherano, for any football fans with something in between their ears will know that they are a small part of a bigger picture.
They are the cream of the next generation, and for them to come to EPL and play for West Ham is quite a puzzling fact (No disrespect to West Ham). Normally, most players seeking to stake a claim will want to play in games or clubs that are highly visible in either the champions league or etc.
And for one reader who replied form is temp, class is perm, he is correct. If these two can settle in and play English Football, I believe they can do that while they are young and not like Veron who has already formed his style.
So if they stay, it is good for EPL as a whole. So for some, stop condemning these players. Yes, they are not performing but I believe, given time, they would excel.
And lastly, stop exposing yourself to suggestions about your language capacity or intellect, I would suggest that you put full sentences, and with proper grammar. These would help your credibility, for you risk being Public Enemy#1.

The Mirror says the money-men who aim to take charge of the Upton Park club by the end of next week held secret talks with Eriksson last Sunday about replacing Alan Pardew.
Israeli hotels billionaire Eli Papouchado, who will supply the bulk of the £100 million to underwrite the consortium headed by Iranian-born Kia Joorabchian, sounded out Eriksson in Tel Aviv. The pair had a long meeting at an exclusive restaurant in a meeting brokered by Israeli superagent Pini Zahavi.
It is understood that Eriksson is ready to agree to come in as the new manager of the East End club if Papouchado's bid to buy out the existing board goes through.
A source said: "The meeting was set up in advance and was the real reason Eriksson went to Israel. All the talk about him having a consulting role at Maccabi was window dressing."
The current Upton Park board are keen to do business with the Joorabchian-led group now that Papouchado has appointed Rothschilds as his bankers on the deal.
Eriksson is likely to bring his long-time assistant Tord Grip with him to Upton Park.
The former England No.2 admitted earlier this week: "We would both love to be back working in London." -
