Valencia striker Fernando Morientes has blamed the physical nature of the game in England as the reason he didn't do well with Liverpool.
The Spanish striker has been in great form since joining the Spanish giants this summer.
"I wanted to return to what I knew and play the kind of football in which I felt more comfortable," Morientes told Sport.
"I didn't like the physical nature of the game in England or the referees who let more things go, and who blow for fewer fouls than they do here.
"A striker isn't protected from rival defences there, and they gave me a really hard time."
I Made A Amazing Discovery Yesterday About English Refs Are That They Don't Even Have A Good Clear Cut View On The Incident And Do A Unfair Judgement On The Incident !
The Ballack Tackle On Sissoko......The Ref did not have a clear-cut view on it as makelele as well as essien was blocking his view and he had to tip top and more his head Sideway to see the incident which apparently he can't see anything much and the ref here is Mike Riley which later issued a red card to ballack even though without a clear view on the incident
And Jens.L clearly roll the ball on the line before picking up the ball and yet Graham Poll gave him a yellow card and again no clear view on the incident -
maybe the linesman saw leh...

i agree on that the referees in england CMI and the red card for ballack was a little harsh

wait i dun think that its becuz english refs are too lenient, but rather that the play in england is more physical, as such, it seems more lenient to foreign players..

maybe maybe but jens.L clearly got the ball on the line within goalkeeper box you meant the assistant ref saw wrongly and tell the ref to issue a yellow card despite the assistant ref clear view on it ? or is the assistant ref knowledge on soccer rules having problems ?
