Blackburn Rovers are chasing West Ham veteran Teddy Sheringham.
The Sunday Mirror says the oldest player to appear in the Premiership will be 41 next April but that has not deterred Rovers boss Mark Hughes from making a move for the former Manchester United striker.
Sheringham was close to moving to Ewood Park in the August transfer window but West Ham boss Alan Pardew decided to keep him at Upton Park.
The arrival of Carlos Tevez has pushed Sheringham further down the pecking order at Upton Park.
Sheringham, who insists he has no thoughts of retiring, feels he can still be effective in the Premiership and may be ready to head north again in search of first-team football.
Sign a younger striker lah........or give youngster a chance..........Teddy is too old already lah..........
