Ball boy scores goal!

  A BRAZILIAN referee faces the sack after allowing a goal that was scored by a ball boy.
  
  The stunning incident took place in a third division match in Brazil between Santacruzense and Atletico Sorocabana.
  
  Santacruzense striker Samuel shot narrowly wide only for the boy to gather the ball, dribble it back onto the pitch and tap it in.
  
  The crowd were then stunned when the referee then awarded the 89th minute effort after seeing the ball cross the line.
  
  The goal meant the game ended in a 1-1 draw leaving Santacruzense two points ahead of Sorocabana at the top of the league.
  
  Referee Silvia Regina de Oliveira, who was the first woman to referee a Brazilian National Championship match, now has to face the consequences of the horrendous howler.

  Even if the ref didn't see the ball boy scoring the goal, certainly the linesmen should have.

  well if epl linesman can miss a keeper catching the ball behind his own line, i think its justified.

  But that was a 'blink-and-you'll-miss-it' thing. You'd have to watch really closely to catch it, or use video evidence.
  
  In contrast, this ballboy's antics was a pretty blatant howler in plain sight of everyone watching the match.
