Steven Gerrard is the most consistent player in EPL

To me, SG is the still the most consistent high standard player in both EPL and England.
Once on the field, his influence is felt almost immediately.
I believe he is truly the best player now in EPL. -
I don't agree... Frank Lampard over the last 3-4 seasons contributed to Chelsea and England consistently. Gerrard is a good player but injury prone and thus not I feel not the most consistent player in the EPL

Look at the whole curved of the standard of performances he has produced. In terms of England, they are not good enough to be the best in the world so I would not try gauge his performances internationally too much. The goals he scored last season was higer than any other midfield in Europe if I not mistaken.

Whereas Kaka scored 14 in the Italian Serie A, 5 in the UEFA Champions League but in Italy, they donÂ’t have a FA cup competition therefore that was to KakaÂ’s disadvantage. He only played 38 games compare to LampardÂ’s 43 (League & CL) + another 4 in FA cup total 47
So if you were to take away LampardÂ’s 2 in the FA cup and base on this, Kaka scored 19 goals in 38 matches, Lampared 18 goals in 43 matches. But more importantly, if you want to count all competitions including internationals, Kaka scored 24 Goals to LamparedÂ’s 20.
Juan Roman Riquelme also scored 24 in all competitions last season. But look at his shot on goal in La Liga & CL total = 28 shots with 14 goals. LampardÂ’s total = 73 shots with 18 goals. If you were to see the ratio, every 2 shots Riquelme gets a goalÂ… with Lampard, he gets 1 goal in 4 shots.

Well since title is EPL, maybe we just keep to EPL..
Its true not many can compare the impact Stevie G can bring to a team..
Maybe Lampard but he have too many good players around him while Stevie have to do it alone most of the time..
Lampard standard have dropped lately, its for all to see.. I feel he had a disatrous WC from someone of his high standard..
And if talk about playing for England(abit off topic), we have to understand Stevie was restrain from becoming more attacking under SGE..
Look at how well he did on the right for the past 2 games..
Lampard n Gerrard are top class players.. But it's Steven Gerrard who is better at the moment.. -

gerrard is definitely a better player than lampard. -
lampard was nv good. his attacking instincts isn't that fantastic either. stevie's a better player.
lampard's simply overrated. look at his wc performances and you know he's a pile of sh*t. his chelsea performances allow him a few shots in cause makelele and/or essien is supposed to do the dirty work for him. even cole and robben were asked to allow lampard to run the show.
and he just abt did that.
there's nth much to his game; his passing was pathetic; he couldn't even muster a goal @ the wc (most shots on goal), he refused to tackle & defend consistently, he can't dribble, he's f*ckin' slow, and his bloated ego was influenced by the '2nd best player in the world' tag said by some moaner.
and JT shouldn't even be england's captain. i feel ferdinand would do a better job. his exlusion from the best 11 @ the WC baffled me.
central df should see cannavaro and ferdinand paired; not terry.
carra would do a better job than me; but unfortunately he became a joke @ the wc w/ his (impatient) penalty antics. -
