Barcelona turned down the chance of signing Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon over the summer, it has been revealed.
DiarioSport says Barca coach Frank Rijkaard was contacted by Buffon's representatives when it became clear Juve would be spending this season in Serie B.
But Rijkaard decided against moving for Buffon, preferring to stick with his young No1 Victor Valdes, who is fast emerging as one of the best young goalkeeping talents in the game.
It is a very poor decision not to buy buffon as thier goalkeeper is not as good as they think.......
Inter Milan make final Adriano swap bid for Ronaldo

Inter Milan will make a final bid today to land Real Madrid striker Ronaldo in a swap for Adriano.
Julio Baptista's expected move to Arsenal frees up a non-EU slot for Real to take Adriano, who is being offered as part of a loan swap by Inter patron Massimo Moratti.
Moratti is seeking to strike a deal which will see Ronaldo exchanged for Adriano on-loan for this season, with both clubs having the option to buy next June.
Real coach Fabio Capello would welcome Adriano's signing, while the player has made it no secret that he'd love to play for the Madrid giants.
Ronaldo has continued his rehab from knee surgery this week at Real's training HQ in Valdebebas. He spoke with Capello yesterday about his recovery, though it's understood Inter's renewed interest was not mentioned in the conversation
Inter should not swap.......Adraino much younger than Ronaldo and Ronaldo have past his prime...
