IMO wenger confirm wont buyOriginally posted by zocoss:ARSENAL are poised to make a £17million bid for Argentina World Cup star Carlos Tevez.
The Gunners hope to invoke a get-out clause in midfielder Tevez’s contract with his Brazilian club Corinthians. They originally claimed his contract said he could quit for £30m — but Tevez’s agent revealed it actually says 30 million US DOLLARS.
This could hasten the end of the long-running Ashley Cole transfer saga with the England left-back finally completing a £20m move to Chelsea.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been quiet in the transfer market but is worried by ArsenalÂ’s dodgy early-season form.
Wenger expects things to get busy in the 48 hours before the window shuts on Thursday night.
Tevez is lined up to play for Argentina in a friendly against Brazil at ArsenalÂ’s Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The ideal plan is to unveil Tevez as a Gunners player before kick-off.
Well, if he manage to sell A cole he will have the money to buy Tevez and still got enough to get another defender...Originally posted by LazerLordz:Tevez?
if Wenger does buy him, it will be a big shift from his transfer policy..
i feel aresnal shld install a shot clock at their emirates stadium, so that the playera will know it's time to shoot.Originally posted by LazerLordz:for fcuk's sake, Arsenal should sign Mike Tyson to put some steel in the midfield.![]()
one lazy striker goes out...Originally posted by zocoss:MANCHESTER UNITED have made a beat-the-deadline £10million bid to buy David Trezeguet from Juventus.
The French international striker wants a move following the Turin sideÂ’s enforced relegation to the Italian Serie B after the match-fixing scandal.
Yesterday Trezeguet’s father — who also acts as his agent — met with Red Devils officials about a possible move before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
Juve president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has privately admitted that United have made a bid for the 28-year-old player. That is believed to be in the region of £10million, although Juve are said to be demanding £17m.
Old Trafford boss Alex Ferguson has long been an admirer of Trezeguet his past scoring record is impressive. Last season, he hit 23 goals in 32 Serie A games and six in nine Champions League matches. He was left out of JuveÂ’s team on Sunday night as they crashed out of the Coppa Italia to Napoli on penalties.
The sticking point could be JuveÂ’s latest appeal against their relegation, which is due to be heard today. If they are reinstated to Serie A, they will want to hold on to Trezeguet.
No lah... sometimes players need a change of club to get them going again. You see the match Real played... Ruud was running and chasing for the ball... cos new place he have to work harder.Originally posted by hyuuga neji:one lazy striker goes out...

Moreover, Trezeguet past scoring record is impressive. Last season, he hit 23 goals in 32 Serie A games and six in nine Champions League matches. You don't score 20 goals in serie A if you are a lousy striker cos the italian league is more of a defensive one than the EPL.
Anyway, he could be a good sub to bring on as he is still an ok player, and younger than Ruud somemore. But i don't think this deal will happen.
martin jol's tactics are boring and lousy. they keep playing the long ball and heading football like bolton.Originally posted by zocoss:BIG-SPENDING Spurs last night sealed an £11.5million hat-trick — snapping up Steed Malbranque, Pascal Chimbonda and Mido.
Manager Martin Jol made his three-way swoop ahead of tomorrowÂ’s transfer deadline.
First, he sealed Mido’s £4m return to White Hart Lane after the Egyptian international striker spent last season on loan from Roma.
Then he agreed a £5m deal with Wigan for full-back Chimbonda, with £3.75m up front and the rest based on appearances.
And the Spurs boss completed a hectic day of transfer activity when he hijacked Malbranque’s £2.5million move from Fulham to West Ham.
