Van Basten drops van Nistelrooy from the Holland squad

Coach Marco van Basten claimed his decision to omit Mark van Bommel and Ruud van Nistelrooy from the Holland squad to face the Republic of Ireland in a friendly next Wednesday in Dublin was because he had more trust in other players.
"At the moment we think other players are better," said Van Basten.
"We want to go on with the selected group because we have more trust in those players."
Both van Nistelrooy and van Bommel would appear to be paying the price for poor World Cups.
Van Nistelrooy, who moved to Real Madrid from Manchester United this summer, failed to shine in Germany as Holland crashed out in the second round to Portugal.
Van Nistelrooy was left on the bench for that match after severe criticism from van Basten.
Lucky Man u sold him early or his price sure go down to $5 to $8m only. I guess SAF saw what was coming and hurry got rid of him first -
RVN is having bad relations with both club and national coaches. He needs an ego check.

Stays fit, scores buckloads of goals at RM and he should be in again. van Basten, himself a top striker... knows what is the best for Ruud. He needs goals to boost his confidence and that will translate to the Oranje again.

Van Basten omits Ruud from latest Holland squad
Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has again been left out of the provisional Holland squad to face Bulgaria and Albania in next month's Euro 2008 qualifiers.
The Real Madrid forward has yet to feature since losing his starting place in Marco van Basten's line-up during the World Cup.
New Liverpool signing Dirk Kuyt and recent Blackburn acquisition Andre Ooijer are both included.
The Netherlands take on Bulgaria in the Vassil Levski Stadium in Sofia on October 7 before meeting Albania in the Amsterdam ArenA four days later in the final qualifier of 2006.
Van Basten will confirm his final squad on September 29.

with the squad he has...i rather he give young huntelaar a chance..this kid got a good future infront of him...
but at midfield...i think he should have included van bommel at least for experience... -

He will be called up by his track records.. he is the most natualised striker in Holland Squad.. their best after the coach himself. Seems means maybe and Van Basten Never Like RVN For Unknown Reasons Or Maybe He Not The Type Of Player He Looking For And I am Neither Super Low IQ nor trying to be funny here i think you are the one having the problem just an opinion and i don't have to edit my post thanks
