I agree. Whilst I think that midfielders are also tactically in a good position to read the game and lead the game, I cannot understand why some managers choose forwards to be captains from a tactical point of view. I am looking forward to an Age of Sensibility from this England squad. They are still severely short of talent and depth but hopefully more steel and resolute.
