So, Chelsea may play their reserve team. -
this is a match of no consequence, treat it as a friendly to get all the angst out and get on with the real games.....the only winners are the other epl clubs watching and hoping someone gets injured.....what's more there's a international friendly week after this...geesh...stupid isn't it.....

Chelsea's fierce rivalry with Liverpool resurfaces in tomorrow's Community Shield and Mourinho could not resist reopening his feud with his opposite number, Rafael BenÃtez, for which Chelsea's manager suggested only the Spaniard was to blame. He said: "It is Rafa BenÃtez and me, not me and Rafa BenÃtez. It's never vice-versa. Maybe I don't have a nice face but don't always make me out to be the bad guy."
BenÃtez, whose season began with Liverpool's Champions League qualifying win over Maccabi Haifa, will be further riled by Mourinho's suggestion that defeat will be a psychological blow.
Mourinho said: "I don't think the Community Shield will affect them unless they feel that they are in much better condition than Chelsea and have to win. If Liverpool lose against a 50% Chelsea, then maybe that will affect their confidence."
