JOSE REYES has sparked fury at Arsenal by posing in a Real Madrid shirt.
Real target Reyes, 22, was happily snapped pulling on the famous white jersey.And former Gunners star Nigel Winterburn rapped: “I’d never have done that.”
The winger has been trying to engineer a move to Madrid behind Arsenal boss Arsene WengerÂ’s back. Spaniard Reyes, 22, keeps giving interviews in Spain saying he is unhappy in London and wants a switch to the Bernabeu. When Arsenal pull him up on his remarks he insists he wants to stay.
But the damning photos printed in Spanish newspaper Marca yesterday will drive a wedge between himself and Gunners supporters.
What an ungrateful player (Look at his smiling face posing in the Real jersey)and to think Wenger paid $20m for him... Now i think even if he goes, wenger won get $20m back as the player is begging to join the other club so Real will take it easy, maybe offer $15m only...

REAL MADRID plunged Arsenal's Champions League ambitions into turmoil last night as the Bernabeu club insisted they will hold transfer talks over Jose Antonio Reyes this week.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants to use the Spaniard against Dinamo Zagreb tonight after travelling to Croatia without EIGHT first-teamers, including skipper Thierry Henry and Chelseabound Ashley Cole.
But while Wenger is determined to play Reyes in his midfield quartet for last season's finalists, Real's belief that the player will join them for around £9m before the start of the new term is unshakable. Sources close to Real president Ramon Calderon maintain that sporting director Pedrag Milosevic will hold transfer talks with Arsenal in the next 48 hours.
And with Reyes determined to quit north London to return to his homeland, Arsenal know that the fee they can demand for the 22-year-old will be severely reduced if he is ineligible to play for the Spanish giants in the Champions League.
It leaves Wenger and the Gunners board in a quandary as they weigh up the merits of putting the club's prospects of taking part in the group stage - worth a minimum £15million - against the potential loss of cash from a transfer. Real believe that, irrespective of Wenger's insistence last night that Reyes does not want to leave, Arsenal are ready to talk terms.
"I extended Jose's contract last year, so that is quite clear about how I regard his future at Arsenal. He is in the squad for Zagreb and if I decide to play him, he will play. There is no problem."
Real will offer around £9m for Reyes and, while the Spanish giants expect Arsenal to hold out for £13m at this week's meeting, they believe an agreement will be made at no more than £10m if the former Sevilla man is not cup-tied.
If he is, then Real will use that as a bargaining chip in negotiations, seeking to nudge down the price.
"It is up to him to decide but he would strengthen us. Not everyone has the chance to sign for the best club in the world and I think every player would want to play for Real and to live in this city."

Stupid deal Arsenal got, buy him for $17 to $20m 2 yrs ago now that he has improve, sell him for $9m? Make no sense. If Reyes stop making noise, they will get a better deal. -

You can forget about getting $18m from real m cos they know the player wants to leave and join them so they can bargain... After all, no point for arsenal to keep an unhappy player. The best arsenal can hope to get now is $13m the most...

Arsenal winger José Antonio Reyes remains hopeful that his long-mooted £9m transfer to Real Madrid will be completed in the next few days.
Speaking in the aftermath of the Gunners' 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in their Champions League qualifier last night, Reyes said: "I want things to be sorted out as soon as possible and I will have my mobile turned on all day on Wednesday in case there are any important calls.
"Me and my family are a little tense at the moment and want to make sure things don't collapse, but I'm hopeful that things will work out in the end."
Reyes was left on Arsenal's bench last night and would, therefore, be eligible to play for Real in Europe if a transfer went ahead. However Arsène Wenger insisted that his decision to drop the winger did not mean a transfer was imminent.
The noises coming out from Spain Earlier this week Reyes's agent Rodriguez de Moya told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope: "It appears that the clubs have begun talking and we are waiting to see if they reach an agreement. It's an open secret that Jose Antonio wants to play for Real Madrid. -

ARSENAL told Real Madrid last night: We want £16.5million for Reyes or it will be no way, Jose!
Real director Pedrag Mijatovic was over here yesterday to start official transfer talks and tabled a £10m bid.
Real are convinced they have the upper hand, especially as Reyes has made it known he is desperate to join them. SunSport even showed the player posing in a Real shirt.
Reyes, 22, said: “I want the matter resolved as soon as possible. From now on, I’ll have my mobile on in case I get an important call.”
Mijatovic met Dein willing to include Julio Baptista as part of a swap package. But Dein was adamant he could not allow Reyes to leave for a figure below the valuation made in ArsenalÂ’s agreement with Seville.
Mijatovic is convinced Arsenal will have to back down. Wenger tried to sign Baptista from Seville last summer, before being outbid by Real’s £13.8m offer.
But landing the Brazilian in exchange for Reyes would be fraught with work permit complications, as Baptista does not possess a European passport and is not a regular international.
Gunners stars are urging Reyes to stay in London.
Even if he is sold for $16.5m it will still be a lost for the gunners cos they have spent money developing his talent and now after 2 yrs he leave a better player than when he first arrived at the same price or worst a lesser price.
Real seems to know this is a steal and sadly the gunners can't do a thing about it. -
dunno why real madrid still needs reyes with all the star players they has @ bernabau , wenger should be now banging his balls for buying cum develop a player in which turns out to be an ungrateful one , so wenger should sell him and get other proven strikers like trezeguet , ibrahimovic or even torres , this will be a good move

Reyes isnt a loyal player at all. I would say his move to Arsenal has helped him develop alot as a player even if he hasnt adapted to life there.
More players are turning on the clubs that made them better players. Gone were the days where a player remains at a club for years.
I think this is the money world.
I think Arsenal shld just sell him and ashley cole away. Get the money.
Buy some better players like Ribery. Torres and some defenders. -
That is why its important to get young english players cos these players won't leave you for spain or italy when they have made it... Unlike players from other parts of europe.
Real are getting Reyes bco's they know he is a good player and partly also because he is a Spanish and if Uefa decide to set a limit on number of foreign players a team can use in Champions League matches he will come in useful.
But still an ungrateful player! -
i think reyes can bag gunners about 17.5 millions n cole around 25 millions.
for reyes it is possible to get dat amount since his contract is long way to go. but i really dun see why RM interested in him since they got so many strikers already. -

If Arsenal see no improvement in their valuation of Reyes, and Reyes is out to rat on them, Wenger should just do what Paul Jewell is doing to Pascal Chimbonda.
Insist on their valuation or let him rot in the reserves if he refuses to play.
He was a bad buy and has an obvious integrity problem. Either Reyes or his agent, anyway. -
The difference is he is going from one smaller english club to another bigger english club and not to Spain.
