Hernan Crespo has left Premiership champions Chelsea on a free transfer to join Inter Milan in a two-year deal. The Blues striker returns to his former club three years after arriving at Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £16.8million.

He has lived in italy for a very long time and considers Italy as a 2nd homeland. Maybe he even treasures italy more than argentina, his native origins.
I was looking forward to seeing crespo for next season, but now that he has left, not as interesting anymore... -

i guess thats the advantage of having too much $.
the club can afford to buy players which do not fit in the plan but because they are targets of other clubs, and sell them when they have warm the bench enough. -

Last year AC milan also wanted him but chelsea demanded a transfer fee and AC didn't want to pay a single cent as they were willing to take over his high salary already so said with a transfee was too much to pay.
Anyway, not everybody is dumb enough like chelsea or real, willing to pay 30m or 12m for a striker over 30 yrs old.

Andriy Shevchenko 31 in Sep / Saraly $120,000 per week, Cost: $30M
transfer from AC Milan ........

Man u suppost to pay FC Lyn $2m for him instead Chelsea paid double at $4m for them to FC Lyn and give them another $12m to buy Carrick somemore.

There is no telling how a player will turn out just like there is also no telling how a manager will fair too like in 1992 Liverpool thought they got the best manager in Graeme Souness after he won 3 successive titles with Rangers in 89, 90 & 91 to replaced Kenny Dalglish. But that turn out to be the worst deal liverpool ever got.
Souness turn Dalglish's liverpool into a lousy team... haha.. until today they still cannot stand like they have become impotent.
Anyway, he is the best manager of liverpool of all time! Don't you agree?

Now that he is an Italian Citizen , and an Italin wife , with two Milanese daughters , Italy should be one final destination for him , not England .

He went to the WC by luck and i guess he was found out when the team started training together. That could be the reason why even when they were short of strikers, Sven didn't use him.
Anyway, i don't think we need players to look unusual... just play well will do.
