whether u r there or not to witness it is irrelevant. the club will live on and it will be judged on its achievement 10, 25, 50 or 100 years from now. The fans in 2106 will still ride on chel$ki's achievement if chel$ki can maintain its run. it's myopic to relate to what's happening now. but it's understandable, becos there is nothing to brag abt chel$ki to start with...they buy their way in, period.Originally posted by stellazio:i didn't brag about how chelsea is the greatest club. at least i was there to live it when they won. were u?![]()
well u might say all you want about chelsea buying their way to the title, but den why don't i see you complain about teams like Barca, RM buying too?Originally posted by weiqimun:whether u r there or not to witness it is irrelevant. the club will live on and it will be judged on its achievement 10, 25, 50 or 100 years from now. the probability is chel$ki rise and fall will all be within these few years while the likes of man u, liverpool, arsenal & tottenham will still be around challenging the honours. the signs are clear alredi. abro is already meddling, with shev and what have u. chel$ki also have a manager who will not think twice of leaving...read his thoughts @ this season ending. egotistical with no loyalty, the only thing holding him @ stamford bridge is the monies he raked in. he's an easy book to read.
And this is not envy on my part. i (truly, truly) rather the reds be build on solid ground with the right way than with black money from the soviet.
1. they pay fairer value price for the players. just the other day, saf on rvn in respond to/rejecting real's bid. "chel$ki pay 35m pound for shev, so rvn is in the same bracket". indirectly, he is `suaning' chel$ki. and who would pay 20+m pound for shaun w-p?Originally posted by stellazio:1. why don't i see you complain about teams like Barca, RM buying too?
2. you're only saying this because you weren't present at the time when Pool was dominant
3. there's a saying "don't talk the talk, till you have walked the walk" and that is my point. Do not talk about something you did not even see.
.
1. u think chelsea wants to pay those amounts?its only because its chelsea and thats y the clubs wana set the price at 200% of the original value. who doesn't wana make more money?Originally posted by weiqimun:1. they pay fairer value price for the players. just the other day, saf on rvn in respond to/rejecting real's bid. 2. what makes u think so i haven't experienced the glory years?even if i wasn't there in during the glory years, tt is not important, as i mentioned in my previous post. (u can speculate whether i am in poolman's league, i wun bother)
3. see point #2. but i still dun get your point tt u have to be around to experience the glory. unless u r there @ the bridge, it's still a telly experience. (btw, i have been to anfield and have been at arms length with the players. it's a life changing experience as far as i am concerned)
there is a diff between arrogance and a proud supporter of the club. reds fans are mostly the latter. the last fa cup final agst the hammers is testament to tt. there's mutual respect and cordial. u may not count me in as the latter but u r entitled 2 yr opinion. we onli recipocrate likewise to arrogant opposition fans, man u included....see reds fans' banners to chel$ki in matches..."what's your history?". i second that![]()
sure, if u were there, share ur experience and how it felt when ur team won.Originally posted by edi_77777:I'm been thru the glory days so can i make comments?
I'm been a Liverpool fan since young.. and i admit i support them cos they were the best then.. but till now even through the dark period of late 90s and early 2000s, they are still without doubt my fave club...
In terms of history, Liverpool are indeed the most sucessful club.. other than the old Cup Winners Cup(anyone still rem this cup?), we have won everything there is to offer... and other than FA cup(which Man U won the most), we won any individual cup more than other teams in England
But lets not all live in history.. I'm proud that Liverpool have such rich history..
I'm sure few years down the road, Man U fans will be proud that they are the most dominant team in the late 90s... they should also be proud that they are the 1st team to win a treble...
SO lets just enjoy the rich culture of our clubs history and look forward to the new season..
Cos this arguement will never end...
i am not a liverpool fan. but i have seen how they won titles after titles. keegan, kennedy, dalglish, sammy lee, souness, rush, whelan, barnes etc ... the list just goes on and on. they have many legends.Originally posted by stellazio:sure, if u were there, share ur experience and how it felt when ur team won.
