I think Mourinho and Kenyon's are used to their balls being squeezed all the time... Each time they want to buy a player, their balls get squeeze until their faces turn as blue as their shirt then they are willing to give the money...
Remember, Drogba, Essien, SWP, John Mikel, Del Horno & Shevchenko.
Drogba would have gone for around $12 - $15m but squeezed until $24m
Essien maybe only $10m but Squeezed until $23m when Zokaran only $8 to spurs. i see both about the same level maybe Zokaran even better a bit.
SWP arsenal offered $10m and nobody else wanted him then chelsea came in and got squeezed till $21m
John Mikel between $2 - $4m got squeezed till $12m
Del Horno about $5m at most but squeezed till $8m
Shevchenko $15m at most for a 30yrs old player but got squeezed until double at $30m.
So the best squeeze of all is Shev, cos overpaid $15m for him and this guy can play another 1 to 2 years at most... after that no after sale value anymore.
But the biggest squeeze will come from arsenal... Cole's contract would have ended if he didn't sign a new one last year... and they would have sold him for $8m last year cos his contract only got 1 yr left... or he could have walk away for nothing and straight into chelsea for free. abro is not stupid (maybe he is). he knows the buck gotta stop sometime sooner or later. he may have billions, but @ the rate they r being flogged by other clubs, the returns they are getting is far less than the sum of its parts.
jus becos they can afford to bleed the way they do, doesn't mean they should. their corporate governance is ruled by 1 person; a house built on a deck of cards. clearly `doing things right' ruled over `doing the right thing'.
I think players/clubs knows that the `heydays' may be numbered. So, they will squeeze as hard to the day Chel$ki thinks tt enuf is enuf. And tt, i think it will also the the beginning of the end for chel$ki.

Anyway, good player from England stay in England, same as with Spain, Italy and Germany. You see, Gerrard, Rooney, Terry, Rio all these could make it to the RM or Barce but they rather stay in England. Same with Buffon, and the other italian players if not force by circumstances at Juve, they wouldn't leave... and the whole German 1st team play in Germany only one just left to join chelsea cos of money.
These countries league are big so they don't need to go to another country to play. Unlike those smaller league counties. -

Arsenal have reportedly offered Ashley Cole to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
England's World Cup left-back appears likely to leave the Gunners this summer, and Chelsea have reportedly made a bid of 25million euros for him.
But according to Spanish daily Marca a more likely destination for Cole is the Santiago Bernabeu.
New Real coach Fabio Capello has already snapped up Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson and Ruud van Nistelrooy since taking the reins at Los Meringues.
And Marca says if he offers 18million euros for Cole he'll be on his way to La Liga.
The paper says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger doesn't want to lose one of his best players to title rivals Chelsea, and would rather he ended up playing overseas.
Cole would be the perfect replacement at Real for Roberto Carlos, with the Brazilian apparently set to leave for Turkish giants Fenerbahce. -
