ASHLEY COLE & Roberto Carlos to be Blue

ASHLEY COLE will sign for Chelsea in a £16million transfer next Wednesday - and they will follow up with a sensational £4m swoop for Roberto Carlos.
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has agreed a deal for Cole to sign a five-year contract worth £90,000 a week in one of the most controversial transfers in Premiership history.
But Chelsea will also pull off another major surprise by signing Brazilian veteran Carlos - partly as a treat for Roman Abramovich's 12-year-old son.
Real Madrid star Carlos, 33, is Arkady Abramovich's favourite player and is also seen as a big enough name on the world stage to expand Chelsea's global market.
That is the reason why Chelsea are set to sign TWO left-backs, with Cole getting the No.3 shirt. Asier Del Horno is poised to return to Spain with Valencia leading Chelsea winger Damien Duff left training early yesterday as Tottenham prepared to make an increased offer after their initial £5m bid was turned down.
But every last detail in Cole's transfer has been thrashed out down to the deal being completed next Wednesday.
Cole is currently on honeymoon after his showbiz wedding to pop star Cheryl Tweedy and returns next week while Chelsea fly to Los Angeles next Wednesday for their preseason training camp.
It will complete one of the most remarkable transfer sagas in English football.
Cole was found guilty and fined after being caught up in a tapping-up scandal after he held a secret transfer meeting with Chelsea 18 months.
Cole has a £16m buy-out clause written into his contract and with no other firm offers Arsenal will sell to Chelsea at that price as Real Madrid have yet to make a formal bid. -

wenger should use ashley cole as a cash + player trade to get wayne bridge to emirates stadium.
anyway, 16 Million pound make good money for arsenal for a player who cost nothing for arsenal and play 5 years+ for gunners.
but arsenal need to boost defence but it seem arsenal are not active in transfer market. even pompey are more aggressive than gunners. -

Seems like Cole had all plan outÂ… Get out of Arsenal on the 26th, release his book on the 28th Â…so he wonÂ’t be around when his book is release. he claims the Gunners used him as a scapegoat over the "tapping up" affair with the Premiership champions.

Well I dont think Carlos will leave Real Madrid cos Capello wana keep him and Mourinho , despite valuing Carlos as a fine player, has expressed his desire to keep Bridge. So with Del Horno leaving , it is likely to see Ashley Cole joining the Blues since he is on very good terms with Joe Cole.

Anyway Bridge has always been 3rd or 4th choice... Even if there is injury Mourinho use Gallas as left-back rather than Bridge. He is not highly regarded be Mourinho. Yeah i can't agree with you more with regards to cygan... But he is my favourite Arsenal defender... alway so nervous and make the whole defends shaky... I think Wenger doesn't need to buy to replace cole at Left Back. They've Clichy and Flamini who are more than adequate replacements, the latter proving himself through last seasons Champions League. However, with the depature of Sol Campbell and injury to Senderos, Arsenal needs cover in the center of defence. Prob someone who has a strong physical precense and pace, along the lines of Anton Ferdinand?
