Chelsea are considering the sale of Damien Duff. Tottenham lodged a £5m offer at the weekend that was immediately rebuffed and Duff was yesterday still training with Chelsea at their base in Surrey. The 27-year-old, who cost £17m from Blackburn three years ago, had hoped to conclude a contract extension on his £70,000-per-week deal, which has two years to run. In close-season contract talks, however, Chelsea informed him he would have to take a significant pay cut to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Having made only 63 Premiership starts in his three seasons in west London, Duff has failed to reproduce the form that saw Chelsea and Manchester United enter a bidding war for his signature. Tottenham, though, must at least double their bid to be sure of securing Duff.

It is reported that Liverpool is in for Duff again.
Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle are believed to be vying for the capture of Damien Duff.
According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea have given Duff's agent permission to speak with the Premiership trio.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho declared earlier this week that he would allow the Irishman to leave Stamford Bridge if the right offer came in, sparking immediate speculation about where he might go next.
Tottenham expressed an interest in Duff some time ago as they tabled an unsuccessful £5 million bid. -

Well excluding Huth, Chelsea has the World Cup's top few central defenders such as Carvalho , Terry and Gallas..I think that's frightening enough.
Not to include a powerpacked midfield and a lethal attack. And seriously, I think Cech has proven himself to be a really good goalkeeper. Remember the match Czech Republic vs Ghana? -
