AIG is an insurance company - http://www.aig.com/gateway/homeOriginally posted by barhonda92:wat is AIG standfor??
they did not change. vodafone dumped mufc.Originally posted by Agenda:why manu suka suka change sponsors?
No cos they could only afford to sponsor 9M a year. AIG is willing to give almost 15M a year to have their logo on their shirt. Its the highest shirt sponsor deal in England and only lesser to 1 or 2 clubs, Juventus's is one of them... Their shirt sponsor, a oil company from Libya but that one is now over too now that Juventus has been relegated to second division football.Originally posted by weiqimun:they did not change. vodafone dumped mufc.

Lolz... players wants to leave? who... Ronaldo? even he says he can stay already but even if he leave... who else? RVN... lolz...Originally posted by weiqimun:i think we all need to head this moment. this is, imo, THE end of the man u era.
players wants to leave, all current estd. players r ageing n prospective good players shun the club. saf time is also limited, 1 season @ most. only rooney is the bonafide young star there. but there is no player leader on the field.
alex's pre-season is in a disarray.
they need to do something drastic to stem the slide. i jus dun see tt happening.
no harm intended, i wun be shocked if man u is a mid-table team this coming season.
AIG wasn't even on the fray when man u is forced to seek for new sponsors. it was the indo tycoon internet gambling firm that was negotiating with man u. of cos, tt eventually did not happened. the deal was messy and fingers were pointed allover. man u had to scurry to find aig.Originally posted by zocoss:No cos they could only afford to sponsor 9M a year. It make more sense to go with AIG since they are willing to pay so much. Their old sponsor "Sharp" could not even offer them 3M a year. Times have change, You go with the person that can pay you the most for your shirt deal... And AIG is the biggest insurance company in the world.
This way, you won't need to sell your stadium name and history away like some other club.![]()
Ahh... i think you are mistaken. A contract will remain unless both parties are willing to end it. One party alone cannot withdraw unless the other party compromise it and In this case, it wasn't...Originally posted by weiqimun:AIG wasn't even on the fray when man u is forced to seek for new sponsors. it was the indo tycoon internet gambling firm that was negotiating with man u. of cos, tt eventually did not happened. the deal was messy and fingers were pointed allover. man u had to scurry to find aig.
vodafone did make an announcement tt they are ending their association early with man u (1 year b4 their contract is up) becos they want to focus their sports mkting fund elsewhere. if vodafone wants to pay, they jolly well can. they make obscene profits in their europe telco operations. after all, they dislodge tobacco giant malboro as ferarri's f1 main sponsor. i think they know they can find value elsewhere rather than pay so much for a team tt's clearly passed their sell-by date.
Haha agreed, hope they follow Leeds to Championship .Originally posted by Poolman:Simple is the word to sum up Mu's jersey .
AIG wording also simple , but $$$ wise , not simple .
Hope they play simple football , score simple goals and concede simple goals also . And sign some simple players and so on .![]()
