zidane have received a few red cards in his careers for stamping or headbutting...shows he got a bad temper, same as rooney...just that ppl choose to believe he is really a nice guy...

Defenders seldom win the golden ball as they do the more unglamorous job of breaking up attacks and destroying moves. People remember the creative and beautiful moves, not the dunga-style monsters.
And kudos that Zidane won recognization for his talents. People may say it was not deserved, but he has been a consistent performer at the top level and has hardly ever had a BAD game.
As for the head-butt incident, all i can say is this: Marco Materazzi is a dishonorable LIAR. -
