I think the end of the world cup is a good thing, because of these positive effects:
-- Less people will trouble the poor 7-eleven stores by not buying bags of beer, alcoholic drinks, snacks, fast-foods, afternoon newspapers just to be psyched about the results, which footballer screwed up or became a superhero etc etc etc.
-- A greater reduction of neighbourhood wierdos and oddly-behaving people will not loiter around the coffee shop or convienience stores, the only free-of-charge place to watch the football matches and get stuff in the middle of the night. Therefore, you'll be spared of the agony of having to see those eye-sores whenever you eat.
-- Less people will trouble the poor coffee shops by not crowding near the television screen and letting them just close shop early.
-- More people will get a decent night's rest, since there wouldn't be so much shouting.
-- (Applicable to people who tend to favour the favourites to win the world cup) Less people will shout and scream whenever Brazil scores a goal.
-- (Not applicable to people who are sincerely passionate about football and love it) When all the hoolabaloo is over, some people just realize that just spending time to watch a soccer match isn't really a worthwhile thing to invest your time into. Some people might realize that it is just only an excuse for people to get together and have beer and be merry. But what do you gain from it ? You'll be better off enjoying time spent with true friends or doing something constructive.
That's all i have to say, because popular events like the world cup does bring out the worst from people as i have witnessed 4 years ago. -
lol wat a load of rubbish,did u know that all those catering business made more money during the WC? I doubt they would close shop early instead of making more money. As for the shoutings I have never been awaken by any of those, hardly heard any noise late at night. The last one was a rebuilding phase for them. They have managed to retain the core of the team (Wenger, Lehmann, Cole, Senderos, Fabregas, Reyes, Hleb, v Persie, and Henry..) for the next term, which is more important than getting new unsettled players. (remember the gunners team that won the league 3 yrs ago unbeaten, there were not many transfer deals during that pre-season, Wenger built on a settled squad)
Chelski may look good on paper, with the likes of Ballack and Shevchenko joining the elite party.. but how long do u think these prima donnas will take to adapt to english football? It may cost them important points lost in the title race, especially during the 1st few mths of the season.
Man united is in chaos now. They are the team that looks most likely to finish outside the top 4. Unless SAF performs a miracle. -
Yeah i will be surprised if Arsenal can achieve top 3 this coming season. Chelsea still look too good for the rest to be honest... Basically, Arsenal have lost or will lose more players than Man utd. Man Udt have the funds to get another 2, 3 players without a problem. They have already got 12M pounds for that John fellow to chelsea and imagine if they sell these 3 players, for a total of 40M, They will have more than 50M to buy players and this amount don't include their own money, this are money generated from player sale only.
I would rather be in Man Udt situation than Arsenals' -

Man Utd have not made an offer for any player yet... Even Carrick case is not confirm... If Spurs wants 20M do you think they want to buy? If Chelsea had waited a little longer for Shev, maybe they could have got him at one third of the 30M they paid for him. On Gattuso, unless AC goes down otherwise he won't leave. But if they go down, he will cost less then carrick and a better player somemore in the holding role.
In Heinze's case, Real M may want him. But not a big lost if he goes, last season he didn't even play at all from mid sep. anyway, they have Silvestre and Evra in that position already... My favourite defender is The Cool Rio. -

Well its back to insulting, scolding and hating Chelsea and their boss Jose Mourinho. Am I not right? It promises to be a whole new season full of those and for that I can assure you guys, it wont be boring.
