Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is in talks with the World Cup striker, 25, who is being offloaded by Barcelona.
The Spanish champions have been looking to sell Saviola, nicknamed The Rabbit, for two years.
Now Barcelona will let Saviola join the Gunners on the cheap with Arsenal footing the bill for the remaining year of the starÂ’s Nou Camp contract.
Saviola, who scored for Argentina in the World Cup against Ivory Coast, joined Barcelona for £16m from River Plate in 2001 and grabbed 61 goals in three seasons before being shipped out by boss Frank Rijkaard.
Ahh... 2 Million seems like a good buy. Man, this Arsene Wenger certainly knows how to get things cheap.

Arsene Wenger looks set to bring over the whole Geylang Bahru hawker centre so that Aide Iskandar will not miss home cook food and can concentrate on playing to the highest level that all of us know Aide can.
However, in the latest turn of events, Tampines Rovers are offering Aide a mouth watering $2000 per month to continue playing for them. Quoted Tampines Spokesman, "Arsenal cannot be champions every year, but at Tampines rovers, Aide can be champion of the prestigious SLEAGUE year in, year out beating the likes of Balestier Khalsa and Albirex Nigata."
Aide has until next month to make his move. -

Wah if really buy Saviola so cheap like that ah, I damn jealous already. Rosicky get so cheap everyone also so cheap. But Wenger should get wingers and strikers. Can't depend on Henry too much. Maybe Tevez or Podolski. but I hope Man U get them first hehe..
