Alan Shearer wouldn't be surprised if Wayne Rooney "sticks one on" his Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo when the pair next meet in the wake of Rooney's red card against Portugal in Gelsenkirchen.
Rooney appeared to stamp on Ricardo Carvalho in the 62nd minute and Ronaldo sprinted to Argentinian referee Horacio Marcelo Elizondo to demand a red card.
Rooney pushed Ronaldo away before the referee produced a red card for the England striker leaving England to survive the rest of normal time and extra time with 10 men.
TV pictures then appeared to show Ronaldo winking towards the Portugal bench as Rooney made his way off. -

no one knows exactly what his wink was abt. just becos it happens right after rooney's red, u add 1+1. he cld be winking to a chio girl in the stand, or 4 other reasons.
2 me, the wink doesn't mean anything. jus a communication bet the bench & him. none of this is premeditated. unless it is in the script that rooney will step on someone's balls and ronaldo will `happen' to be nearby and then intervene, everything happens in a flash.

The one constant in soccer should be fair play. In that sense, i think the actions of Michael Owen in the EPL while playing for liverpool, where he immediately got up after going to ground in the penalty box and waving away the penalty appeals of his teammates is fresh in my mind.
Same goes for Di Canio's 'ball catching' after Everton's GK was already injured and he gamely stopped play deliberately.
