Comeon la...We all know that somehow the Germans will squeeze into the finals and crown champion..it's all about the way they will use to become champion..either cheap or fair..but after seeing how they screw the argentinians, the Germans certainly dont deserve our respect!

Germany's World Cup hopes have been dealt a blow after Fifa banned Torsten Frings from tomorrow's semi-final with Italy.
The Werder Bremen midfielder, one of the outstanding players of the quarter-final victory on penalties against Argentina, was caught on television throwing a punch at Julio Cruz during a melee at the end of the match.
Fifa's disciplinary committee has decided the 29-year-old was guilty of violent conduct and imposed a one-match suspension, with another suspended ban that would come into force should he misbehave again in the next six months. -

The german may find it tough to break down the italian defence. Even if they do break down their defence, they will find it difficult to poke the ball into buffon net. But the italian will also find it very difficult to break down the german defence and german keeper. So to play safe, don't bet on this match will be the best bet.

My take on the match, pls comment
Germany will not lose because:
1) They are playing in Dortmund
2) They have already lost twice in a row to Italy in the past 2 friendlies, it won't happen a third time.
3) They have a Swiss spy who compiles lengthy reports and videos on the opponent
4) They have a very capable American fitness trainer who tailors a fitness and diet programme for each player even while they are back at their clubs.
5) Teamwork has never been better
Italy will not lose because:
1) They are unbeaten in 23 games
2) Germans have never beaten them in a WC match
3) They have a tactically astute coach in Lippi
4) They have a solid defence, midfield and frontline -
I can safely say if it comes down to penalties shoot out Germany should go through as it is part of their decades old tradition. As for Italy, I tink the atmosphere will get the better of the Italian penalty takers

think the germans can score vs cannavaro and buffon? DREAM ON. gattuso will act as a coverfront for the defence and he already said "he wont hold back" and he will not allow germans the space. germany probably wont score a goal, either a stalemate 0-0 or 1-0 to italy

i put money on a draw liao....
itali got the best keeper and a solid defence. i think they can hold the marauding german for 90.
german hasn't got a bad match so far, i think they will run out of steam tonite. also, germany hasn't beaten itali for donkey years, so my bet is itali win after extra time or on penalties.
klinsman can look fwd for a desrved break @ huntington beach, which btw is a damn solid place. like a small bohemian beach town where the rich hang out. two pc babes all over during summer.... -
