i agree totally with u, support is not based on how the team is performing at the moment and wat kind of results it has recently. its the passion and the feelings built up over the months or even years. Can't say that I support England because I follow England over the months and years. I only get interested in football during the world cup. BTW I support English rugby team as well.
I think my support is more like I wished Singapore is still a British colony and we are under a "real" first world gahmen instead of this fake first world gahmen. -
Portugal may nt hv Deco and Costinha... but even without 5 key players, they cld still bit mexico... so, Portugal will still WIN...

Whether England is a decent team or not, their results and performance speak for themselves i.e. not great but has potential. The foreign players may light up the league but there is some talent in the local lads. Again, even if England in the future degenerate into some showboatting prima donna team, I will still continue to pledge my support simply because that is a conscious choice borne out of my years of loyalty. -
