if u do a search u will find that Argentina have never beaten Mexico with more than 1 goal since 2000 and last 2 matches(last year) they met ended 1:1.Originally posted by BrUtUs:quite shock to see this result cos expected the argentines to win at least 3 goals... but good work for mex to give the argentines a run for the $$$.... too bad they no more campos...
I had wished that it would be Argentina vs Germany in the final.Originally posted by JLennon:Looking forward to a mouth watering quarters between Germany and Argentina. A tie made in heaven.

own goal scored that way are normally given to the striker.Originally posted by fudgester:1-1 now. Red-hot match with both teams trying to kill each other.
I think Crespo's goal shouldn't be credited to him. In television replays, it was a clear own goal by a Mexican player. Crespo didn't even have a touch on it.
Any chance that Fifa might change the status of the goal to an own goal?

watch the replay?Originally posted by CoolMyth:Actually, Mexico is one of the team best known for keeping possession at the opposition half.
Definitely a team not to be underestimated.
Later I gonna catch the replay. Too tired to watch live.![]()
The silver goal rule has been in effect since the last world cup to encourage attacking soccer. Golden goal simply nullified the game-play of both sides since neither were prepared to come out of their shell, fearful of conceding the goal that might end their dreams.Originally posted by 798:why now extra-time no longer golden goal rule? fifa keep changing sh!t rules! want to make players more tired is it?![]()
