Playing 4-5-1 formation... useful if play thru the middle but their midfield very very static today. I was never convince abt Gerrard+Lampard combo cos they jus got each other's way. If Crouch play in the lone striker role... Rooney cld hv play jus behind him where he will be more useful. -

actually i think we cannot discount ingerland now, since they passed the 1st round k/out hurdle. again, my hunch, as i indicated in a previous thread, is that eng-kok will do well.
they hv also officially taken the `dull' tag from germany. they will now just egged out a one nil win. tt's enuf for them. football fans can complain all they want, but do they, or ingerland fans care?
separately, i hope lanpard and terry-aki's current `good' form will continue into the epl season when it starts. and the way cech's conceeded goals in czech's early demise also send hopes up for me.... -

i think gerard was playing as a 2nd striker... too far up as attk midfield... he was chasing pressurising the def.... should hv put in carra at RB, move owen to DM to replace carrick.... then change lampard for crouch... n move gerard back as att mid... 4-1-3-2
