Hehe.. I think I still playing FM2004 sia.. Anyway players so many but most important tactics le.. How ah? Why my defence leak so many goals.. I probably got the best defenders in the game (yr2013 already so new age defenders hehe). But most of the opponent goals cross then, got unmarked players in the box. Like my defenders all don't know how to defend liao but their marking tackling heading all 17 -20. Any idea on the team tactics and individual instructions?

Football Manager 2006 or Championship Manager 2006? I have a copy of Championship Manager 2006 and in my opinion, it is not as good and I have a feeling that Championship Manager isnt the real mcCoy

This game is really about building ur youngsters and training them.
Oh by the way i managed Manchester United.
Do u guys noe that there's a trick to selling ur players up to 10X the original price? Jus keep on negotiating! Increase ur asking price by 1 million each time. I sold Saha, at the age of 30, to Aston Villa for 15 million!
Build up ur training facilities as well as ur youth system. Build as many youth camps as possible. I managed to build all by the end of the 4th season and skillful youths kept flowing in! Oh, if u choose "regenerate player" option, those players that retire will return to ur team as a youth player!
Players to buy (These players' value will sky rocket!):
Rafael van der Vart (Can only be signed in the second season)
Jermaine Jenas, Steward Downing & James Milner (Young & exciting)
Hedwiges Manduro, Wesley Snejder & Nigel de Jong (All from Ajax(but in real life, de Jong left for Hamburg) and their value will at least increase by 3 times)
Sebastain Deisler (He has immense talents. Watch out for his freekicks. I sold him to Aston Villa(Yes, they bought my junks) for 19 million!)
Tim Cahill (Powerful run into the box (Again, Villa bought him from me for 16 million))
Bastian Sweinsteiger & Philip Lahm (i bought them way before they were even made known in Germany and the World Cup. I signed them in my first season for a total of 8 million. Watch out for Lahm. His price will sky rocket.)
Antony Le Tellec (Heh, Bosman from Liverpool. His price went up to 8 million)

To way to make sure you have most players marked in crosses is quite hard actually, unless you have a defender with great mental stats.. more specifically, determination
Yea, FM used to be CM.. But they left to make FM which most people don't know
Here are things where FM is much better
FM
-- Unproven managers at high league levels - Fans get upset, Means that if you start the game as Liverpool or championship clubs, The fans will be upset
-- If you start the game with Chelsea, Star players like Ronaldinho, Rooney won't join you, Because they don't believe you can nurture them
-- Chairman interference, Some chairman are very ambitious and will want you to sign star players, No unknown wonderkids allowed. If you fail to do so, The chairman will personally sign the players
-- Advanced AI, have a crazy tactics that scores 5 goals every match? AI now adapt and steal your tactics
-- Players not listed for loan, Can be loaned if the club allows
-- Players now can be exchange in a player for player deal
-- Business minded chairman will sack you without reason if you sign crap players
Tell me CM, Has those.. Its not even half realistic with FM around -

I've tried the previous version of FM and so far, things jus get better n better.
The very first FM i own is the 2001/2002 version. There're lots of flaws on this version. For example, if u wan to train ur players, u simply click the "boost" button n pray hard that ur player wun get injured. Very unrealistic and the value of ur player will soar if u successfully "boost" the player's stats.
The next version is slighly better. With clearer and sharper match graphics and the training function changes. Managers can simply set watever attribute they wan their player to work on and FM will automatically increase or decrease the player's stats.
This latest version is really the best of the lots. Although it seems too unrealistic for players to move that slow on the match. I think they shud remove the function whereby manager is not allow to buy players from their fiercest rivals. Chelsea do try n sign Gerrard haven they?
FM wins CM hands down. CM is really too simple to be costly. CM's graphics are really child's play and only FM has the function for manager to view the match and make substitutionas if it was real life.

can u still cheat by stealing other team players n sell your unwanted players at sky high prices back to them??
i used to kapo the players for free to my team n sell mine at sky high price... -
Haha.. It depends. This version of FM, the AI is much smarter. Well, of cos u can kapo players!
There're 3 ways actually.
1. If the player is already available on a free transfer(Bosman ruling)
2. Clause in contract. If the player is good enough n has a release clause dat allows him to leave for a club that is of higher division for free.
3. When the player's contract is almost up, u can directly talk to the player n ask them to join u for free. I missed out on Fernando Torres. He left Atletico Madrid for Real Betis for free. =(

actually i wanna be barca mgr n transfer all their top class players to my Man utd team..den i use them to fight against chelsea...was wondering if i keep on beating chelsea, will Jose be sacked!!!... -
Jose won't be sacked in the game, SAF and Wenger also won't be sacked

I noted something about the AI, When I was Newcastle I sold Owen to Chelsea for 35m after he scored 55 goals in all for me, They rejected my 2.2m bid for Cudicini when everyone was offering 1.2m
They demanded 22m for Drogba and 19m for Defoe whom they bought for 9m to warm the bench
When i was Liverpool, No matter how bad Manu and Arsenal performed, They never get sacked -

In my game, all the managers from the EPL teams either switch clubs are fired, including Arsene Wenger, Rafael Benitez and Jose Mourinho. Wenger & Benitez was fired in my 3rd season and Mourinho got the boot on the 5th.
Becos Newcastle and Chelsea are fiercest rival. Try right clicking the team to see their closest rivals. Chances are u'll never be able to purchase players from Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea if u control Man U and such.
Why buy Drogba when Torres and Podolski are much better n cheaper buys?

Chelsea play very defensively, If you have manu against them.. manu always win
The price thing also happens with Arsenal, manu and liverpool.. he rejected my 9m bid and accepted a 7m bid
Chelsea usually under performs under a human manager because the strikeforce sucks badly and new strikers need time to adapt
one thing I noted is that whenever chelsea fail to win the title in the first season, they stand almost no chance anymore.. I just had a game where I thrashed chelsea *waits for dragg to arrive*
And Mark Gonzalez is also a very good player in-game, I also signed a young 16 year old Norwegian Striker Tommy Hoiland, he started out with youngster stats and now at the age of 17.. He is showing signs of becoming the next owen
the dumbest thing I've seen is Chelsea signing Ronaldo for 45m when he is relegated to Castilla
I only needed a back-up striker and podolski went to manu while torres would cost 35m -
anyway, does anybody know if the youngsters will ever grow in height and weight? because all my youngsters are pretty short

In my liverpool same, I sweep all titles for 3 seasons except losing FA cup and League cup once to bolton and manu
its very boring to cheat lo, with the right tactics, manu or any other team can win chelsea even thrashing them is a high possibility.. For me, I don't sign big names unless they are really good..
I usually scout around for cheap but quality players
he still isnt sacked.. and i made it to the Hall of fame and whenever I leave Liverpool while i was feeling bored, My description becomes legendary manager

in fifa manager, instead of a 3d pitch, you get a 3d model pitch which means you see players like you see in fifa 2006 playing your tactics out

manu start with 67m in bank and 35m budget.. depending on their performance, they can get alot of cash
For me, Liverpool is not poor.. I played them and in 3 seasons I already spent 107m while about 30m are wasted on crap players that never performed well
thats provided you can snap up maximum profits
Chelsea is too easy thats why whenever I try to start them, I get bored 30mins into the game because I can sign any players I want
In all, I spent the most in the whole game.. But hey, I bring results! -
