Shevchenko is a waste of Money! Chelsea

After watching last night match, Chelsea's new £30million recruit Andriy Shevchenko looks like a waste of money. With £30million, they could have got Fernando Torres or someone else younger than Shev.
Anyway, he may still do ok but he won't last... cos already 30yrs old, won't improve but can get less effective in a short time. And if expected, chelsea will sell Gudjohnsen, Crespo and with Drobga, their best striker last year asking to leave, cos he knows his chances to play will be limited and also he wants to go to AC Milan (Bigger Club)... Hmmm. -
No supplies from team mates how u expect him to do much?

Being a skillful brazilian, he need not necessarily require the best service and can proceed to perform som splendid dribbling on his own.
Of course, he is rather FAT at the moment.
Sheva on the other hand, requires good crosses, defence-splitting passes and sweet one-twos to be effective. He's a poacher, not a soloist. Whatcha expect? -

U got to see it in the big picture. He's not superman, it's a collective team effort and he was playing upfront n alone most of the time.
After one season at Chelsea then come and rant if he still worth the dough or not. -
Chelski can afford to waste money since they've got so much of it anyway.

chelsea already sold gudjohnsen... shevchenko is really not worth the $$$ spent... even he is a more advanced version of alan shearer but he still dont worth his price....

Well if you like Barca , then isnt Chelsea worse? Wud love to see Henry at Barca , that will be an amazing lineup... But Shevchenko is very much the perfect striker , can head , can dribble , can score tap in , can shoot from far , can take free kicks and can take penalties ( though miss sometimes)..He still has around 2 or 3 years left in him...

Even if he flop in the EPL does not mean the EPL is the best or that he a lousy striker compared to those who play in the EPL. Some players'playing style may suit the english league some may not.
To say he is a flop and a waste of money based on one game is baised and naive to say the least. -

shev and henry has the same problem. Can set record breaking no of goals in club level but when comes to international matches,they are non-existant

Cun say that on sheva... if midfeld cun supply chances how can he score? Well, i think he will be on the benched after a few games when they realise he is not as good as he was before. And Drogba will still be the main man at chelsea come next season cos with chelsea usually playing 1 striker, we will probably see the most expensive sub on the bench!
Mourinho knows Didier Drogba is good that is why he won sell him despite of Drogba asking to leave for AC Milan. My guess is Milan probably knows that shev has pass his best and were more then happy to let him go or exchange him with drogba and get such a huge sum at the same time. Money that they can use to strengthen their team, maybe buy someone like Carlos Tevez (only 22) or Fernando Torres that could be better or can get better and can play another 5 to 8 years. With shev at most if lucky, another 3 yrs but health condition can't improve anymore but form & speed will dip due to ageing.
I recalled Zidane was a great player in 1996, 1998 & 2000. that was his highest point. 1998 WC he was 25 yrs old, 2000 European cup he was 27, today at 33 yrs old... We have not seen the best of zidane since he turn 30. Same goes for most or all strikers... Oliver Bierhoff, Klinsmen, Suka, Keegan just so many... Even players you see playing now but reaching 30 like Ronaldo, Rvn, Robbie Flower just to name afew looks like they are no longer what we remember them to be 4 yrs or maybe even 2 yrs ago.
Thats the point.
Anyway, the next game the saudis should make shev look good. But if he cant even perform against the saudis... then .... end of discussion, he is a close case, definite waste of money considering at 30M pounds maybe 10M still ok but 20M pounds over priced! -

he is just hardworking. his hit rate is rather low.
chelsea must play with 2 strikers up front. both crespo and sheva are totally different from drogba. -
Hard working and not selfish. My guess is one of the two Drogba or Crespo will be leaving. So chelsea will still have 2 strikers with one playing only cos mourinho will most likely play 5 in midfield cos too many midfielders... Lampard, Ballack, Essien or Makelele the centre 3 with 4 wingers fighting it out for 2 places. J Cole, Duff, Robben & SWP.
