We are still top of our Asian Cup qualifying group. All the boys need to stand a good chance of a guaranteed place inside, is to beat China.
If we can get into the Asian Cup, then perhaps we could think of spending that money on him. But then again, if Avramovic could get us to the Asian Cup, why not give him a chance to bring us further?

singapore problem has always been two factors.
1) We don't have a good base or pool of aspiring young footballers to do in this path.
2) we are simply not good enough
look at the streets of brazil or any other developing countries, the kids there know football is the way out of proverty. They look @ Pele, maradona, kids who were poor but made it rich. They practised day & night to make it.
I am quite surprised that we don't get Korean or Japanese coaches in.
They have proven that they are able to reach the world cup finals though talent and hardwork. Instead we try our luck at finding a miracle-worker.
if we want to stick to the current coach, then allow him to do his work, even down to grassroots level. Develop our youth. -

even if we have Mourinho,Scolar,Carlos Aberto..i dun think SG can even qualify

quick lah attract those young potential players who haven play for their countries lah!!!!! One year give them 10 million pounds, see they wan to come or not plus they can win trophies year in year out with Tampines Rovers.

guus hiddink may be good but he's not god. singapore may qualify for the WC but not in this decade

some teams play defensive football n won tropies.
some teams play attacking football n won tropies.
some long ball,
some possession football.
singapore should come out with new style of football to match them.
i saw chinese circus before.
i saw them performing in neighbourhood before also.
the way those performers balance the ball on their heads n the way they control the ball with their body and the way they inter exchange passes the ball without the ball touching the ground is excellent.
perhaps we can create a team of 10 outfield players with this kind of skills. -
then all you have are ten seals balancing football but cannot score.....

I believe, if we talk about quality, we have plentiful.. It is just that they are not shown any exposure.. Don't know what the talent scouts in Singapore are doing.. For those who played a lot of neighbourhood soccer, you will know...
