Man U to buy Michael Carrick from Spurs. Heard its almost a done deal! Do you all think he is really that good?

nope..spurs told man utd to up their bid to 15m before they will consider.. currently man utd has a 10m bid rejected.

hvnt heard its any near done yet... tink at least hv to spend 15mil but its worth the price as carrick got good future if guided well...

I'm not quite sure why Man Utd wanna buy MC when they hv Darren Fletcher played in that mould.
Carrick a good player thou.. excellent passing range and gd technique. Somewhat refreshing among his english peers in his position. Strokes the ball ard with flair but sometimes loses concentration then lose possesion. -

Watch the Argentina Vs Ivory Coast match last night i thought Juan Roman Riquelme & Didier Zokora are better choice... 1st time i seen Zokora play, he looks like a real midfield enforcer which is what they really need and can pass the ball well too. These 2 players would cost lesser than the 15M spurs wants for Carrick. But after WC they will cost much more!

Fletcher? I think I can pass better than him lol.. Tottenham willing to sell Carrick? Even at 15m? I say 15m is a good deal. Carrick is good. Behind the scene kind of guy.

Fletcher? Isn't he supposed to be a defender? Carrick is an attacking midfielder, if I am not wrong.

He'll be a good playmaker for any team. Though I think United will still need someone to do the dirty work in midfield. I'm not quite convinced that Carrick's the man for that job.

Now big name normally go for money, if got the choice they might not want to work with SAF. Mostly go for Chelsea or Arsenal.
