sporting afrique: modern slavery?

yesterday's today paper was reported that sporting afrique's player was paid $100 a month!
this is a ridiculous situation. the chee guy is taking the players passion to play football for a ride. whatever his reasoning is, he cannot justify charging each player $700 for food and $800 for accomodation. i think he's pocketing some of the money from the bucket s-league distributes. why don't he let the players settle the food themselves and give them the $800. and the housing? $700 a person? shit, i rest my case.
if he cannot afford to run a club, then don't. he made the players come and subject them to this, of cos they are stuck bet a rock and a hard place. i am sure the players didn't know what they are in for or were not told explicitly what they are getting into.
then he talked about finishing top 3, then gv more ca$h. of cos that's not going to happen, with the kind of motivation and environment they are subject to. what a load of bull...
this is about doing the right thing. no amount of reasoning can justify the kind of nonsense that is happening here.
s-league should do something about this. to turn a blind eye is giving singapore a bad bad rep. this is modern $lavery in $ingapore. -

go and ask that connin' chee guy to take a hundred bucks a month, and when slaving afrique wins the s-league, he can pay himself a bonus.

Total numbers of players: 22
Monthly salary: $1600
Monthly deduction for food for each player: $700
Monthly accommodation for each player: $800 ( rental collected is 800x22= S$17,600 and the rental for a semi-d in that area only about $2500-3000 ).
*the market rate for renting a HDB room is only abt 350-500 per person with air con....

I think there'll be not much of help from FAS. All becos they stupidly sign a contract. They're bond to the contract. If they, in the first place, seek help from the FAS regarding the pay, these things will not happen.
Yeah. I agree that Colin Chee might take abit of advantage from those poor souls of Africa.
Wadeva the case is, consult an experienced personnal to enquire questions before signing any contracts.

Deduct $700 per person for food? Please lah, even when my family was struggling financially, $1000 was enough to feed my family of six. Unless you tell me that these guys are fed caviar and champagne every day, they're getting screwed of their money...
Another $700 for accomodation? I've seen ads for rooms costing $350 per month per person. Fully-furnished with aircon. And it's one person per room.
These guys are getting cheated, period. I say MOM should be called in and give whoever is in charge his comeuppance. This is an utter disgrace to both the S-League in particular, and to Singapore sports in general. -
