i think man u is spiralling into a club crisis that will put it as an ave joe club in 2 seasons...
why? no players of decent standards wants to go to ol' troffle now. it started with ronaldinho a couple of season's back. also remember essien?... ballack and obi the latest to say, thanks, but....i like my dollars in blue...altho man u can pay the type of money those players are asking.
secondly, fergie will last just 1 more season. he's not young anymore. he knows it, that's why he's giving his all to make it one last hurrah, leave @ the top. non man u players know it. coming in with just one season only to be @ the mercy of the new manager is not stability. and with unsettling players like rvn, cristiano and a couple of aging ones like giggs, scholly, etc. it's future certainly doesn't looked rosy. rooney is the only crown jewel, but my take is he's in the mould of gascoigne, whose temperament is suspect and likely to burn out too soon. when fergie leaves, the system/players will dismantle and redevil will have to start all over again...
lastly, the epl is now a bastion for the very best managers to ply their trade there...jol, rafa, of course wenger are there to win honors. in the epl early days, fergie only have wenger as a viable competitor in terms of tactical know how and resource$. now, the playing field is more level...except for a certain team in $tamford bridge.

Its not no players wants to go to ManU, its all the big names prefer to go to chelsea as they felt its easier for them to win cups. Act its the same for others club in EPL too, not just ManU. Players this few season prefer to go to chelsea if them know chelsea is interested in them.

Yeah, he considered Manchester United at first but it was too expensive for him and Chelsea was at a very cheap price and I guess he saw the potential as Chelsea was considered among the Big 4. I think Chelsea was so cheap that he even covered the debts Chelsea had at that time. If he had gone for Man U, Robben and Ronaldinho is probably playing for Man U now.. Damn Ronaldinho, "I wanna be the first Brazilian to play for the Red Devils" damn it.. Instead it was Kleberson.. Tell u wad. I am no chelsea supporter ! ManU is the club i support but this do not make me say ManU is the better club than chelsea. yes, I believe Chelsea has more potential compared with MUFC, but I believe there are many others rea$ons.
Ballack is looking for his last hurray, and for him, as a top German player, he wants instant success and instant cash if he is to move out of Germany.
With the way, Liverpool and Arsenal doing well in Champion Leagues, it shows that Chelsea got the players but lack the brains. The special one won it with a relatively low profile with Porto, but with Chelsea, all other teams are determined to stop them, and pride themselves on that so Chelsea will not win it unless they got the ball "luck".
They won't become a real madrid cause real madrid don't have the deep pockets that Roman has. Some players want to win, I see that in Terry & Lampard. But try talking to players like Glen Johnson, SWP, Huth, Cudcini, Geremi, these players aren't exactly winners.
Anyway, Chelsea is the team of the moment, and they pratically own the transfer market. I believe soon, they have enough players to play in all 3 leagues, La Liga, Italian and EPL.
But as the oil keep flowing, the players will keep coming.
