As much as I fancy England, from the way they played against Hungary, the only way the can win the World Cup is by lots and lots of luck on their side.
I always believe that a good organised centre midfield can control the games. With England? Gerrard and Lampard just don't click. It's very frustating that the 2 best centre midfielders in England can't seem to gel and complement each other well. Why try out Carragher in that holding role? Should try out Carrick or King. Hagreaves seems determined and hardworking but he's just committing those unnecessary late challenges.
Yea Walcott showed glimpses of himself but still not convinved leh. He looks lost just like Owen. Either that or the service from the midfield is just not reaching up to standard.
Somehow something is lacking in the team. Hope they can fix that "something" before World Cup. -

Come on guys.. Let's not kid ourselves.. England has never been known for playing fluent and silky football like Brazil or the former France.. England is good for it's never say die fighting spirit.
The current batch is really the best for generations. There may not be any Ronaldino or Henry in the team but collectively i think they are hard to beat. Not forgetting that almost all of them have Champion's league experience.
Lampard AND Gerrard must play together.. It will be proven by the number of goals they will get.. It's just a matter of how to best utilize their talents. Simply tat..
