One thing for sure, money can't buy everything. Ronaldinho is one good example.
If Shevchenko does come, it'll be good for Chelsea. Their frontline aquisition hasn't been delivering so far. I can understand and feel justified for Shev's fees but Drogba's fees was way inflated. -

The culture physical aspect of the game in England . Shev might need quite a bit of time tuning to English game .
Pace of the game : In Italy , it's all about tactics and built-up , ther team or oppositions , in England , it's running after running , body-check after body-check , he needs to convert his Italian's lung to a British's one .
Language , he speak only Ukraine and Italian , unless Mourinho speak Italian , or Roman as a translator , or buy themsleve a translator , language could be major barrier for Shev .
Lifestyle in England : Shev needs to bring his American wife along when he walk along The Street Of London . Cos not many English understood Italian and Ukraine .
Weather : Hoee he like the non-stop rain in London , and fog ... when driving .
Plus Luckily they still have Hernan Crespo to hep him out , on the pitch or off the pitch . -
Just sign sheva n cut all the craps la. Over paid star who i feel will rot in the chelsea team, crazy to sign a player that they din even noe if he fits playing in the EPL. Most of all to replace a player that did so well for them as a target man striker ( drogba). Think RA is mad over the CL cup.
Maybe he will consider buying barcelona or Ac milan is chelsea fail to win it down the road.

chelsea just has to win the champ league this year as they have just upped their stake.
for once, i agree with mourinho that it is the worst club to manage as i begin to pity the club and its fans.
underdogs like wigan has got nothing to lose, but RA's club has got nothing to win.
if they do win something, its because of $.
if they lose, they will be a laughing stock.

I will salute a team like Arsenal and MU especially , for working so hard for the academy , and raising players like Giggs , Scholes , Neville and Beckham , and eventually won the UCL .
If I'm Ferguson , i called this Real Pride in Winning . They won not only the UCL , they won the FA Cup and League Title as well during their prime time .
Youth is the future , still is now .

If I'm Roman The Man , i would pour some of the money to groom the best youth in England , Italy and Spain , and maybe Africa .
If Wenger can groom the likes Fabregas , Eboue etc etc ... and make it into the UCL Final , what cannot be done for Chelsea ?

all i see are the usual criticism about RA's money, the manager, cheating etc.

if you see it from footballing point of view, chelsea are a good team too. they are deserving champions. they dont fix matches, bribe officials or win with underhanded means. juventus is now in trouble. i dont see anyone criticising them. that much is obvious right?
you dont win a premiership by luck. you dont win a premiership with only money. the manager, coaches, players, fans and those associated with the club put in a lot of collective effort to win it.
inter milan and newcastle spent a lot of money too. but did they win any?
i am sure chelsea will love to win the title with a humble, english coach, youngsters from their academy, spend little on transfer and build slowing from scratch. but in real life it dont work that way.
players now sitting on chelsea's bench have themselves to blame. why are they there in the first place? they chose to join knowing they will be on the bench. a lot of players sit on the bench at RM and other big clubs too but i dont see anyone commenting on it.
please be fair to chelsea just like what you are doing to other clubs.
hopefully jealousy is not the root of all these negative comments. but frankly, only you know. -

Without $$$
1) Peter Kenyon would not have join Chelsea (one of the best Financial guys around)
2) Mourinho would not have join Chelsea (though arrogant, no doubt that he's one of the best managers around)
3) Chelsea wouldn't have been able to buy more than half the players they have now.
You might have said that clubs like Newcastle also spent losta $$, but the ratio of what the spent compared to chelsea is minute.
We all know that the higher the price, the players usually are of higher quality.
Its an exponential factor in fact.
Its better to buy a player worth 20million then to buy 2 players worth 10million each.
And yah.. the club that i support which is Man Utd also have spent losta $$$, all i can say is that Fergie's sense of quality is deterioting. LOL..
While Mourinho has brought in more players that can play.
But hey, the players deserve to win 2 championships in a row. Cos it is them who have the drive, consistency and determination to win. -

All the Chelsea players and Abramovic have to do is to walk on the pitch against mighty teams like Bracelona, Milan, Liverpool, Real Madrid and won all the games without a single tactic being employed or a single kick of a ball?
Naive to say the least. Chelsea's embarrasment of riches does indeed made them to have more chances of winning the CL or any other trophies, but to say that they can win the CL for SURE is naive to say the least. This goes to show there is not a deep understanding of the game of football at all.

Wigan another team ...... not much money , but Top-10 .

AC Milan players "saddened" by Shevchenko decision

AC Milan players are disappointed Andriy Shevchenko has decided to leave the club.
Fellow striker Filippo Inzaghi, who joined the club two years after Shevchenko, said: "I am saddened but if this is his wish we have to respect it.
"Chelsea are reinforcing themselves but Milan will remain a great club and are still not inferior to anyone in Europe."
The youngsters at the San Siro have also voiced their regret at the 29-year-old's impending departure, revealing that he has been an inspiration to their progress as footballers.
Alberto Gilardino, 23, said: "Sheva helped me a lot to adapt to life at AC Milan.

they are consistently in the top 10 with hardly any money to spend. most of the players they signed are either old or discarded by bigger clubs. -
