acceleration and pace must also be considered, some run very fast with the ball, some run very fast off the ball..

Ya , some are fast but half way loss the ball. Some are not accurate in crossing- alway balloon. some shoot straight to keeper. Some pattern liao liao end up loss the ball also.
Fast doesn't mean have the footballing brain, able to position yourself to receive the ball and past the marker and be accurate in crossing and shooting is the key to be fast. -

I have always seen ronaldo being "caught"....But from behind thoug and that always results in a free kick...Really amazing..when he was at barca...Defenders just didnt have enough time to think yet alone react...
Instinctively they would bring him down to stop him....
But fast let me see....i guess freedie ljunberg kinda fast...Busting around with a sore foot...I dont really think c-ronaldo is fast..Just seem too fanciful and slowing down e defender in the process... -

Both Ronaldo and Henry... different in approach in their game.
But IMO, Ronaldo is simply faster than Henry in their prime. Henry is graceful at full speed but Ronaldo is simply a phenomenon while accelerating past players, off the ball..think faster in front of goal and eye for goal.
Plus, Ronaldo do greater things when it matter most...scores goals in impt matches and in WC. -
Oh..and one brazilian i left out.
