Chelsea wrapping up deal for Feyenoord's Kalou

Chelsea are on the verge of closing a deal for Feyenoord attacker Salomon Kalou.
The Times says Blues chief Peter Kenyon held fruitful discussion with Kalou at Stamford Bridge yesterday after being given permission to speak to him by Feyenoord.
The Dutch club accepted a £5 million bid from Benfica last summer but, with just a year remaining on his contract, are resigned to losing him for little more than £3 million.
Chelsea are unlikely to gain a work permit for the Ivory Coast-born striker, who is uncapped and has been trying through legal channels to qualify for Holland.

Chelsea are waiting on the result of talks between Andrei Shevchenko and AC Milan over his future.
The Times says it is understood that Shevchenko will ask for a two-year extension to his present contract that would keep him at Milan until 2011.
In return for such a show of commitment, the 29-year-old expects his £115,000-a-week wages to stay at the same level, bringing him an incredible £30 million over the course of a five-year contract.
If he fails to secure the deal he desires, he will give fresh consideration to a move to Stamford Bridge.
Although Shevchenko will not submit a transfer request, he would be willing to leave with the club's blessing, particularly if a deal could be arranged that suits all parties.
Del horno is also likely to be sold and SWP future is unsure just yet -

Chelsea will offer striker Hernan Crespo as part of a cash-plus-player swap for AC Milan striker Andrei Shevchenko.
The Mirror says Crespo missed Chelsea's final game of the season after being given permission to return to Italy to be with his wife Alessia, who has failed to settle in London.
Crespo spent the 2004-05 season on loan at Milan, who tried to sign him permanently in the summer. But Shevchenko's departure may pave the way for a player-plus-cash transfer.
With Chelsea prepared to offer a five-year, £120,000-a-week contract, it seems Roman Abramovich may be closing on the player he feels can win them the Champions League, although it is believed there has been little input from manager Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea are a step closer to landing AC Milan striker Andrei Shevchenko after his request for a new contract extension was turned down yesterday.
The Times says Shevchenko is not yet ready to put in a transfer request, but he is considering his position with a possible £35 million summer move to Stamford Bridge one option.
After the calculated attempt to flush out Milan's intentions, Shevchenko will now bide his time in anticipation of a bid from Chelsea after speaking to Roman Abramovich ten days ago about a possible move. -
i still dun think that shevchenko is all that good..and 35 million for a striker nearing 30?i rather get RVN who is cheaper and guarantess 20+ goals per season although man utd will never sell..

115k per week? how much is that in a year? what about the tens of million of pounds that they can get from chelsea?
it will be a big financial mistake if milan refuse to sell.

i used too..till scv took away serie A u tell me how to watch liao?but i do watch milan matches in UCL,and frankly speaking, i still don't think shevchenko is good as a lone striker, and i'll rather have RVN as a lone striker of course..But if its shev and drogba together then maybe it could work out,but i highly doubt mourinho will change his formation..Originally posted by JusStatic:You dont watch the Serie A?

RvN needs supply of ammo. Unless Damien Duff or Arjen Robben is in action.. I watched Real Madrid vs Villareal. Just got SCV so everything must watch hehe. I think Real Madrid was superb. One thing though, they can't defence but their attack was unbelievable. Robinho is a wonderkid down the left. Beckham was magical with his crosses. The passing when attacking was crisp and beautiful. But the defence was a huge let down. They cannot defend as a team. Defend macham Sunderland sia. I think that's why they are not doing as well as Barca. Chelsea have made a £22 million bid for Corinthians striker Carlos Tevez.
The Sun says Tevez left his club last night and flew home to Argentina complaining of a knee injury. But that was purely a smokescreen so he could rubberstamp his move to the Premiership champs.
Corinthians are desperate to keep Tevez - but his head has been turned by Chelsea's millions.
He is impressed by Jose Mourinho and will reject interest from Inter Milan to finalise the move before he joins up with the Argentinian World Cup squad.
if we got Tevez.........the 3rd season is as good as over..........heard that he is extremely talented.........and he is been compared to maradona and he is the one of the best talented youth player across the whole of footballing world now -

Gudjohnsen also want to be out of the squad as he dun get first team football
