Spurs to make formal request for West Ham game to be restaged

Tottenham are seriously considering a formal approach to the Premier League to have their match against West Ham on Sunday restaged.
The Times says Spurs believe that they may have been treated unfairly when it became clear that as many as ten players were struck down by food poisoning on the eve of their most important match of the season on Sunday.
They are also considering studying statistics provided by ProZone, which is used to measure the performance of players in all Premiership matches, to show whether the team were unable to compete at their usual level.
Several of the unwell players said that they ate the lasagna, but there remains the possibility that one player passed around a virus.

Tottenham's defeat at West Ham United has cost the club an estimated £14 million.
Nigel Currie, director of the sports sponsorship firm brand Rapport, has told the Guardian that Spurs' failure to qualify for the Champions League will cost them a fortune.
He estimated lost TV revenue alone would be at least £2.5m and a forthcoming shirt sponsorship deal could fall from £6m to £4m, with another £1.5m lost in merchandising sales.
don't think the FA agree with spurs request even though the suitation is sympathic...... -

Maybe they can try to appeal after Arsenal's Champion's League game

I think the chef was arsenal fan and think that tottenham will win the match against west ham so he put abit of like not poison but something not so serious so that the spurs players is not @ 100% that the rumour that the chef of is Arsenal fan.............if it is.........I think a rematch should be fair........but the FA will not really consider the option of rematch I guess

The EPL is over, and if spurs do get a rematch then it wil cause an uproar in the EPL. What's done is done. EPL is over, just like the SG General Elections. -

david dein in the FA u think they will allow..if they were to give spurs chance, they would have allowed the postpone of the match..no replays man..unfair to arsenal..and yes shit really happens..

spurs cant be complaining. look at how many points they lost due to conceding goals in the dying mins.
White hart lane - vs west ham
dropped 2 pts due to Anton's goal in dying mins. 1-1
Craven cottage - vs fulham
dropped 3 points with injury time goal by fulham. 1-0
there may be a few more.
if only spurs could score more goals and kill the game off early, they could hv even challenge for 3rd spot

if their request got accepted then its very unfair to other teams who suffer injury plague lineup and foreced to play in games... if tat happens tat would mean fergie, wenger, benitez all will oso appeal for their injury plague games like tat would mean no end to season... jz accept the result lo... and wat more is west ham got FA cup coming up so they wun be so free to go for another rematch...

Reasono simple. If they have infact beaten West Ham 2-1, will they KPKB to the FA and request for a rematch cause they think if not of the food poisoning, they should be able to whack West Ham 5-0? LJ understand.
