why Malaysian Malays not attracted to Spore

i find it strange.of all the foreigners in Spore,very few Malaysian Malays ever work in Spore,of cos not counting those Malaysian Chinese!which r the traditional manpower of yesteryear.is it bcos their govt. really take care of them financially?or they r just not interested working here

Because too many Indian/Chinese Malaysian working here already so less chances and benefits for them.I try to recommend my Malaysian cousins working at my company but all rejected

Towards the end of 2010, when the Malaysian government lower the cost of making passports for Malaysians, infact they can do it within 1 hr at the most 1 day processing the passport for RM100, many Malaysian Malays started to work in Singapore. So its easier, cheaper and faster for them to make passport. Most of them work in the manufacturing industry, cleaning industry and in the fast food chain restaurants in Singapore. Only this year, there lesser of them working here partly because of the mandatory enforcement of minimum salary of RM900 per month by the Malaysian government. You see, before this labour law was implemented in Malaysia, most of the Malay Malaysians working in the cleaning industry in Singapore, their monthly basic salary was about S$400 to S$450 per month without overtime. So now, it doesn't make much difference if they work in Singapore since in Malaysia they work for a minimum basic salary of RM900 per month. However, you can still see many of the Malay Malaysian youth still working in the fast food chain restaurants in Singapore. Since in the past until now, they are many Malay Malaysians working in construction industry, marine industry and manufacturing industry in Singapore. You can't see them, unless you take a look early morning at the long flow of Malaysians riding on their motorcycles on the causeway into Singapore or the number of chartered factory buses going into Singapore Woodlands Checkpoint early morning or when you take a public bus early morning from JB into Singapore. You can see them. For Security Industry in Singapore, Malay Malaysians are prohibited. Only Malaysian Chinese and Indians are allowed to work in Security Industry in Singapore.
