where to go and what to do in malaysia?

  me and a friend intend to go malaysia from 2nov to 6nov. backpacking style. any suggestions where to go and what to do? amount of $ to bring also.

   

  i wanna do parasailing and shopping while my friend wanna go penang. but other than those 2 we donno what else we can should do and go in malaysia. some recommendation would be nice. thanks
