Recently went to Hello Shop to re-contract my phone line. Singtel's promotion stated that 16GB iphone's price is $728 with Classic Plan ($29.96 per month). I am holding corporate classic plan ($14 per month). After long waiting in the Hello shop, I was told that I am not eligible to purchase the iphone with my corporate classic plan. To be eligible, I need to sign up another broadband mobile data plan ($17++ per month) on top of my current classic plan or convert the Corporate Classic Plan to normal Classic plan!
Therefore i lodged a complaint in their website. Their customer officer reverted to me few days later. She was quite helpful & offered to appeal for me. She reverted to me 3 days later & asked me that if the appeal is successful:
1. Which Hello Shop is my preference?
2. Which iphone will I prefer, 8GB or 16GB, white or black?
I ask her must I decide before the appeal is successful and I told her I will decide once the appeal is successful. She called again after a short while & informed me that the appeal is successful. She said I can purchase the iphone with the corporate classic plan and sign up another broadband mobile data plan! What a joke! If I want to sign up another data mobile plan, why should I lodge the complaint? Why do I need to get special approval? Any Hello shop can offer the same offer! She even thought that my complaint is I need to upgrade from corporate classic plan to corporate i-value plan in order to purchase the iphone! The worst thing is the offer given by her was corporate classic plan + data mobile plan (cost around $20+). This is worst than Hello Shop’s offer!
I was very disappointed with the way Singtel handling this issue. When I made the complaint, they even get my complaint wrongly & appeal wrongly. Their excuse was I am on corporate plan & already enjoying the privilege, thus not eligible. However they told me that I will be eligible if I am on other corporate plan except for Corporate Classic Plan!
Their website didnt mentioned that Corporate Classic Plan is not eligible to purchase the iphone. The main reason that my request was rejected is my monthly subscription is too low, ie $14 per month!
This is very obvious that in order to purchase the iphone, you must have at least < $20 monthly subscription fee!
I am really very disappointed with their services provided and the way they treat their loyal customer!
