Arsenal captain William Gallas looks to have landed himself in hot water with manager Arsene Wenger.
The France international was pictured on the back page of a national newspaper with what appeared to be an unlit cigarette in his mouth.
Wenger admitted he had not seen the grainy image, but planned to discuss the matter with his captain and will take the appropriate action.
The Emirates Stadium boss told Sky Sports News: "I did not see the picture, I have been informed about it.
"I don't like that.
"I will check that with him. He has a responsibility as captain of Arsenal football club. That cannot be accepted."
Wenger has also moved to clarify his comments over the support the Gunners receive at Emirates Stadium.
He added: "I do not want them (the supporters) not to expect success, it is right that they expect success. There is no real issue, but the newspapers many times stray a little bit to the negative side.
"I wanted to be positive and say there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic and that's why we want your complete support at the Emirates and to be behind the team.
"We can achieve success this year, not next year, and we don't want to take the fact that we are young as an excuse.
"We want you (the supporters) to be completely behind the team despite the fact that last year you were disappointed that we didn't win the Premiership."
ya, you better stop him from smoking before he teach walcott they all to smoke also.
