Keegan made the
admission when a Sky Sports News reporter pressed him on comments
attributed to the Swiss international's father claiming that both Milan
and Newcastle were in for his son.
"Well, the lad has got two tremendous clubs to pick from if his dad's right," said Keegan.
The
Geordie boss went on to confirm that he is still hoping to sign three
new players before the start of the new Premier League season.
He added: "We are looking for three more players to come in before the deadline, but they have got to be the right players.
"We definitely need another defender; there is no doubt about that.
"We are looking for a defender, a midfield player and possible one more forward."
With
the transfer window closing at the end of August, Keegan is hoping to
be a protagonist in the inevitable flurry of transfer activity between
now and the end of month.
