Gokhan Inler's agent claims he has held 'very positive' talks with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Udinese midfielder Inler has been strongly linked with a move to Emirates Stadium as Wenger looks for one more signing.
Wenger is keen to increase his options in midfield after seeing Mathieu Flamini, Gilberto Silva and Alexander Hleb leave the club over the summer.
Inler has been mooted as Wenger's top target, with the Switzerland international's agent Dino Lamberti recently stating he was due to meet Wenger.
According to Lamberti, the discussion has taken place and he is now awaiting a decision on whether Arsenal will firm up their interest.
"It is true to say that I have had a meeting with Arsene Wenger," Lamberti told Swiss newspaper Blick.
"We have already had a very positive discussion."
Reports have claimed that Arsenal are prepared to make Inler the most expensive footballer in Swiss history by paying 15million euros (£11.7million).
