Emmanuel Adebayor has announced that he intends to stay at Arsenal and will sign a contract extension.
The striker's future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer with reports suggesting that he could be ready to move on from Emirates Stadium.
A host of Europe's top clubs have been tracking his situation with Barcelona and AC Milan among those interested in signing him.
However, Adebayor has now revealed that he wants to remain with the Gunners for a long time to come.
"Now I can tell everyone that, yes, I will sign a contract," the Togo international told Arsenal's official website.
"I'm feeling very good here, very well here, and at the moment my heart is with Arsenal.
He added: "I never told anyone I would be leaving this club, never ever.
"I'm very happy we've found a solution. I have three years left on my contract and I'm putting two or three years more, so I'm very happy being part of this family."
Adebayor joined Arsenal from Monaco in January 2006 and he insists his relationship with manager Arsene Wenger remains as strong as ever.
"When we started talking about my contract I never told him I'd be leaving this club and he knew my desire," Adebayor explained.
"My desire was to stay at this club so for me he's like my father, he's my boss so whatever he tells me I'll do it, so our relationship at the moment is always strong.
"There is no doubt about that."
