Many keen followers of the Premiership slammed William Gallas' sulking last season as Arsenal's title bid faded towards the end of last season.
The versatile 30-year-old, a former Chelsea man, appeared to lose the plot on a couple of occasions earlier this year as the Gunners' season started to unravel.
Gallas, a relative veteran in Arsene Wenger's young side, challenged Manchester United's Nani harshly one week and further smeared an already dark day for Arsenal the next, moaning and weeping at the final whistle after a topsy-turvy 2-2 draw with lowly Birmingham.
The Blues contest was, of course, the game during which Eduardo da Silva suffered horrific injuries, bringing Gallas' attitude intosharp focus during a testing time.
Now, though, Gallas has admitted that his approach to the Emirates captaincy was somewhat lacking and has vowed to improve his leadership approach next term.
"You know, I learned a lot," he admitted to the Evening Standard. "You want to be the best captain, to give good advice to your players.
"But sometimes you can also make mistakes.
"This season, I'm sure I'm ready to change my ways in order to speak to the players. I know what I'm going to do."
"We have to win something because the trophies are so important at the end of the season."
i certainly feel thats its time to change a skipper. maybe someone like toure
tis guy still lots to learn as skipper.....
i still think arsenal need a long term skipper like tony adams.
maybe wenger should give the armband to fabregas since he is the people's choice. so wat he's young? adams became capt at young age too.
fabregas is ideal to be capt but he doesn seem like he wanna stay for long..

he only interested in going back to barca when he win everything at gunners.
RM offer does not interests him at all since he knows barca is RM's rival team.
fabregas is the loyal player at arsenal unlike one ungrateful 'slave' at manu.
