Silva has set his heart on a move away from North London.
A £1
million bid has been placed with The Gunners, with the club’s acting
managing director stating that if the player agrees terms with The
Prasinoi, his current employers will sanction a move.

The Brazilian will
sign a three year deal with the Greek side after Arsenal accepted a £1
million offer for their veteran midfielder.
Ken Friar, Arsenal’s
acting managing director, confirmed the news. He is quoted as saying in
The Sun: “We have agreed to the transfer and signed the papers. It is
now an official agreement.”
Friar, also acknowledged that
Arsenal had received other offers for the player, the paper suggests
Everton were one of the interested parties, however it is claimed that
the player himself wanted to move to Greece. Friar confirmed: “We had
other offers but we respected Gilberto's desire to sign for
Panathinaikos.”
