It was revealed
earlier this week that Adebayor is demanding a whopping 400 per cent
pay-rise, which would see his weekly wage increase from ₤30,000 to
₤120,000.
The Togolese striker has rejected the Gunners’ ₤60,000
compromise and appears to be edging ever close to an Emirates exit this
summer, as the higher-ups are losing patience.
The 24-year-old
believes he deserves to be paid as much as former team-mate Henry was,
insisting it is a logical quandary as much as anything.
“People ask if I’m asking for the same salary as Henry,” he told News of the World. “That is not necessarily the question.
“But I am being considered a worthy replacement for Henry while not deserving his salary. The question lies on this level.
“Either Arsenal give me what I want and I stay or they don’t and I leave.”
problem is can he play like henry?? joker lei this guy...
He cannot run as fast as Henry , doesn't create enough goals for his team-mates , and last but not least , he is a pussy in 1-on-1 situations ...
think.75000/week should be jus nice for this faggot
can he play like henry? LOL
He wants to leave arsenal, but dont dare to quit, so he is trying to act anal in order for arsenal to fire him.
well well.I thought this guy said that he gonna quit the gunners if they didn't win the EPL last seasoN?
he is not even 1/2 of henry
maybe he mean play like henry at barca. that's more of his standards
goodness.. the audacity to compare himself to henry.. how do one earn respect like that? gee lols..
well, players often ask for more pay and they know they deserve when they are the key.
how many of us would go up to our bosses and ask for pay raise if we know we are not good?
saying that, once this happens, it may turn the whole team around..

Milan priced out of move for Adebayor
AC Milan accept they have been priced out of the market for Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor by the Gunners' 'impossible' valuation of last season's top scorer.
'The request for 45million euros (£35.8million) by Arsenal is an impossible request,' Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said on the Italian club's website.
While the Togo international may, according to his agent, not be 'greedy', described as 'humble kid from the street' and 'in love' with Arsenal, Arsene Wenger has sent a clear message he has no intentions of letting Adebayor - or anyone else for that matter - hold the club to ransom over excessive wage demands.
Nevertheless, the Arsenal manager also knows there is no value in keeping an unsettled player whose focus is on something other than mounting a sustained title challenge next season.
The Premier League club are, according to Galliani, not willing to accept anything less than what they consider full market value for Adebayor, plucked from Monaco in a £7million deal 18 months ago and who smashed 30 goals last season.
Barcelona are also said to be in the hunt for the Togo forward, with president Joan Laporta looking to secure a big-name signing ahead of the club's referendum this weekend.
The Catalan giants would certainly have the financial muscle to test Arsenal's resolve with an offer nearer their asking price.
Wenger, though, would want guarantees of a replacement should Adebayor eventually cash in on his demand and leave, with both Blackburn's Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz and Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins, rated around £14million, likely candidates.
Having already completed the capture of promising young Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal are expected to soon finally confirm the arrival of long-time target Samir Nasri from Marseille, while Portugal Under-21 international Amaury Bischoff is another who claims he is on his way to Emirates after German side Werder Bremen announced his departure.
However, one player now off the market is Spain forward David Villa, who pledged his allegiance to Valencia having impressed Wenger, among other English Premier League managers, at Euro 2008.
'I'm very grateful, I'm happy to be here,' Villa said. 'There are further years left on my contract and hopefully I'll extend my stay.'
'The president plans to keep the same team to please the fans in order to have a great team.'
Arsenal head off for their pre-season training camp in Austria at the end of July, and will return for the Emirates Cup - hosting Juventus and Real Madrid, as well Hamburg under former Tottenham manager Martin Jol - before completing their preparations with an appearance at the Amsterdam Tournament ahead of the Champions League qualifier on August 12/13.
By then, Wenger could have Czech winger Tomas Rosicky back in contention following his summer rehabilitation.
The board jz made a stupid move... 35m deal take n run liao...
they think this lam pa ji is worth alot still want to hold out for more.
The Guardian contends that manager Arsene Wenger has grown
tired of the striker's ongoing uncertainty and inconsistency regarding
his future and will be ready to sell as soon as a replacement can be
acquired.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta will be eager to seal
the signing of a striker as soon as possible, as he is under pressure
at the club and a new signing before the imminent elections may do
enough to appease his opposition, with Samuel Eto'o resigned to leaving
Camp Nou this summer.
30k a week? Is that not enough?
i've had enough of this bum. won't be surprised if he leaves. probably be quite happy if we actually swindle someone for 30 million pounds for him
