Milan have been said
to have targeted one of Emmanuel Adebayor or Didier Drogba to ease
their woes going forward for next season, with the Togolese hit-man
quite possibly being a preferred option as he is six years younger than
the Chelsea striker.
However, Adebayor has refused and refused
again to leave Arsene Wenger's Arsenal and Milan look to be closing in
on a still-unsettled Drogba at Stamford Bridge.
Adebayor,
meanwhile, is now getting back to focussing on next season. The
powerful forward enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2007/08, being joint
second highest scorer in the Premier League and netting 30 goals in all
competitions. Had it not been for Cristiano Ronaldo's other-worldly
season, it could well have been Adebayor drawing many of the plaudits
and awards this year.
What also worked against Ade is hsi team's
failings at the business end of the season. They got off to a quite
breathtaking start, only to trail off and knock themselves out of all
competitions, emphatically and embarrassingly at that.
It was
another trophyless season at the Emirates but there were several
positives to draw from the first year without the talismanic Thierry
Henry. Adebayor, along with the rest of his team-mates, is looking
forward to next season and hoping he can scale the audacious 40-goal
heights Cristiano Ronaldo did this season.
"I scored 30 goals last season and I can get 40 next time," he declared. "I am happy and I love scoring.
"We want to do well after last time. We will do everything to win things next season. In our heads we want to win."
nah dun tink he so lucky... reali hope he joins milan or some other team...
can score 20 then say la...
if there is still clichy and sagna, i think he would be able to score 35 goals from headers. but 40..
score 20 match winning goals can liao..Score those meaningless ones and then disappear the whole match, waste chances also no use.
so next next season 50?
Just see how lor. Talk is cheap
we shall see~
i have a feeling he MIGHT score 40 next season provide we sign a pair of quality wingers beside our two good left n right back. :)
but we should not over depend on him. our midfielders n other strikers should learn to contribute goals too instead of trying to provide him goals in unfavourable position.
one more thing to add... adebayor has achieved wat henry done just like wat henry did in second season. henry became a goal machine in third season, can adebayor follow henry's path or better?
he's more like Kanu than Henry.. amazing brilliance sometimes, and totally invisible most of the time...
Henry creacted goals, passed, created chances with his movement, drawing defenders away, and clinical finishing... he's just a lump there standing and sometimes scoring goals, mostly squandering the chances

van persie and eduardo can definitely contribute but im afraid v.persie would find it hard to escape from serious injuries and im also afraid that eduardo would not be as fast as before, look at michael owen now..
another cock talker. score 40. look at the fuck goals u scored. against man u classic example. thats y retribution. gallas handball. cos u use your fucking hand to score the goal.
