With Arsenal expected to complete the £12 million signing of Marseille youngster Samir Nasri within days, manager Arsene Wenger has already turned to his next summer target.
A report in the News of the World claims that Hamburg midfielder Piotr Trochowski is the Frenchman’s next target as he looks to bolster his midfield following the departure of Mathieu Flamini to Milan.
24 year old Trochowski is part of the German squad that is preparing for the upcoming European Championships and despite strong competition for places is tipped to feature for Joachim Löw’s side during the tournament.
He has been a consistent performer for HSV Hamburg over the past few seasons having joined them from Bayern Munich. He has been capped 12 times by Germany.
It is understood that Wenger is lining up a £5 million bid for the player, which is not dependent on him playing for Germany during the Euro finals.
hope he can sign more players...
