The two Gunners stars said to be under watch by the FCB technical staff are Walcott and Van Persie.
Theo Walcott, 19, has been at Arsenal for three seasons, but has made just 39 Premier League games in that time. While he certainly has time on hi sside, and has just completed probably his best campaign to date, the hopes at Camp Nou are that he may be ready to seek regular football elsewhere.
Robin van Persie, meanwhile, is a much more established member of the first team squad at the Emirates. The 25-year-old Dutchman has been in great form in recent years, although a series of injuries have perhaps put paid to his recent progress.
In any case, though, the 24-year-old's dynamicism and versatility have interested Barça, although whether or not Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger is willing to part with one of his prize assets is another matter altogether.
Valencia Option
Another potential addition is David Silva of Valencia.
Generally the Spanish international is not regarded as an out-and-out forward, with the left wing being his preferred position.
Perhaps, then, his arrival would see the likes of Messi given a more central role, or he could be asked to adapt his game to the Barcelona style.
In any case, he won't be easy to land, given that he's under contract until 2013 with a minimum release clause of €90m. -
Barça At Centre Of Adebayor And Hleb Saga
The Togo international may have attempted to nip the rumours in the bud, but it is believed that his insistance on a pay rise infuritated the Gunners manager even more, Catalan daily Sport states.
Wenger plucked Adebayor from Monaco in 2006 and has made him into a star and is desperately unhappy to see his faith paid back with a demand for a larger salary,
Barcelona are said to be in the market for a new striker, despite Samuel Eto'o's claiming he does not want to leave, and Adebayor's name has been put forward by the media.
The Blaugrana have never stated that they have any interest in the player, who is currently working for a charity in Africa, but their name is being used to further his push for a renewed contract.
While links to Adebayor subside, Barça are still interested in Aleksandr Hleb, according to Sport, and are monitoring his situation after it was reported that he was set to quit the Gunners this summer.
Wenger is believed to have asked his board to make an approach to sign Diego from Werder Bremen in preparation for the Belorussin's departure.Barca again
